DMG Juicebox @Juicebox_FGC Just defeated Haitani 2-1 with Abel to finish my pool in winner's!!! I've won out of both of my pools!! #KoF13 #SF4 Damn, Juicebox. I'm happy for him, he doesn't get out there much anymore for AE, especially since he's stepped up as one of the notable KoF figures. I think he also beat Shiro's Makoto with Abel to make it into Top 16 last year right? Dat Juicebox U1 dance is too stronk. Juicebox is one of my favorites US players, he has a great attitude towards the game and I really enjoyed his podcasts when he was on BLG, really insightful stuff, overall a pretty smart guy that is also really entertaining to watch (can't get enough of dat ultra dance), and he's often an underdog in tournaments so rooting for him is always justified

I think it just has mostly to do with exposure. If you're a part of the westcoast scene then you get all the shoutouts and mentions because of WNF, the runback, etc... Abel is from Arizona (?), and because of that you just don't get to see him often. Always rooting for him to do well though, partially because Abel, partially because Juicebox.

Is the Quarterfinal bracket just the Loser's qualifiers vying for the next round?

No, that is tomorrow at 11am edt, the op is in 24 hour time

Question for you regular SC watchers who don't typically follow fighting game streams: how do you feel about the pace of this production vs things like MLG? I said how i felt about watching fighters at MLG earlier, but I wonder what the converse feels like to someone who is used to watching games at a different pace.

Quarterfinal bracket is for everyone. Winners are seeded into the winner's half, and losers into the loser's. Two from winner's and two from loser's in each QF bracket advance (if you lose in winner's, you drop down to loser's).

Probably sadface that there's no time for poopbreaks between each match.

That was what I was referring to. MK pools won't be streamed until 4pm PST sat. I think op copied a time for when those pools are being played, but not streamed.

I dont know shit about the fighting scene so bear with me... but why isnt anyone playing Juri? Been watching for the majority of the day, alongside HSCV, and havent seen her once. I want to see her!

Remember, these are just select matches out of the pools, not a good overview of the spread of characters.

Juri isn't all that common a tournament character. I'm not really sure why. She's not bad. WeirdoNeo was on the stream running her earlier, and there was another Juri that played shortly thereafter. Juicebox Abel also plays Juri as a secondary, Infiltration played her a while back, but I think he's strictly Akuma/Gouken these days.

There was on Juri player on stream earlier. Juicebox Abel, who was just talked about earlier, also plays a solid Juri (although he obviously mostly plays Abel). I feel like there's 1 decent player who mains her but I honestly can't think who it is. I think Mago used to play a really sick Juri too.

Maybe Floe will play a bit of Juri too, who knows!

LOL SC2 shoutout on the Soul Calibur stream
