I've bought all kinds of sticks for under $100 and none of them have been a rip off. They last forever and playing on a pad is trash.

I'm pretty sure it was. Have a joke at the end of the video to give everyone an extra laugh.

When I played Guilty Gear XX on pad my left thumb's skin started coming off and I got some "burns" after a few hours of gameplay, that's actually the main reason I quit fighting games

Or it could have been the Phoenix doing an "air-throw" on the tank. Since you know, the entire video was kinda based around throws, with a fair focus on air-throws.

Viewership doesn't overly concern me. It just would have been cool to see considering how close it was getting.

A lot of the cheaper sticks below $100 (notably the non Mad Catz SEs) are usually of lower quality, are harder to mod or fix, and sometimes deal with issues. How much you want to pay for a fight pad or arcade stick is proportional to how serious you really are in playing. I compromised with buying a $50 Mad Catz Stick and modded it w/ Sanwa parts (which cost me an extra $40 thanks to Amazon sales) so that I have a great quality stick.

You have to put a bit of work in but its quite a bit cheaper, and a pretty cool expierence for the same quality product.
