In the old SF games, Daigo isn't anywhere close to the best, some of the original gangsters from America would wipe the floor with Daigo. Jeff Schafer coming out of 10 years of retirement wiped the living fuck out of Daigo's ST Ryu no problem, and Tomo Ohira used to clown Jeff 9 out of 10 matches no problem. Even today in ST, he's not the best. The one and only game Daigo was super dominant in was Darkstalkers. Every other game, he has been a top 3 player, but he's been prone to losing in his own country to guys like Tokido, Ohnuki, Ino, etc. in other games. People really need to learn some Fg history before opening their mouths about shit they don't know about. Daigo is nowhere close to the best player; he is EXTREMELY good, and likely a top 3 player of this generation of players overall, but he is certainly much more vulnerable than Flash who is literally almost invincible in a bo5/bo7 series.

At least during previous FGC events the official response was always that they wanted to promote smaller streams because our events "have so many viewers already." ANd then Fishstix would get on twitter asking why the view count wasn't growing...

He seems to like opening Phoenix and switching when someone shows they have some tech or can handle it. I don't really respect Phoenix and I'm so so on Champ, but he's looking pretty good. And USA.

I just enjoy watching his Dormammu more. I think he is the only player in the world who understands how to transition between rushdown and zoning approaches in a real-time match.
