I think champ is going to continue picking his Phoenix team until a player shows that they can beat it
E-Sports is competitive video gaming with a spectator fan base. Do not take the word "Sports" literally.

Who is Daigo in the bracket?

Justin Wong looked amazing! Never seen fighting games before, but it's very entertaining

daigo = Japanese flash. He was the unbeatable foreign deity for over a decade untill just recently he started to lose every once in a while. Still very good though.

lol what?

daigo is no flash; he is by no means by far heads and above the best player in Japan at fighting games; he has dominated a few games, but there are other players like Ohnuki, Tokido, etc. who are all just as good as Daigo in other games if not better.

Not now, in SF4, but he is compparable to flash in the other SFs

No; he wasn't the best in Alpha 3 by a long shot (Tokido/Ohnuki competed with him there), was only dominant in VS (Vampire Slayer/Darkstalkers) to the degree that Flash is in BW. In the old SF games, Daigo isn't anywhere close to the best, some of the original gangsters from America would wipe the floor with Daigo. Jeff Schafer coming out of 10 years of retirement wiped the living fuck out of Daigo's ST Ryu no problem, and Tomo Ohira used to clown Jeff 9 out of 10 matches no problem.

Even today in ST, he's not the best. The one and only game Daigo was super dominant in was Darkstalkers. Every other game, he has been a top 3 player, but he's been prone to losing in his own country to guys like Tokido, Ohnuki, Ino, etc. in other games.

People really need to learn some Fg history before opening their mouths about shit they don't know about. Daigo is nowhere close to the best player; he is EXTREMELY good, and likely a top 3 player of this generation of players overall, but he is certainly much more vulnerable than Flash who is literally almost invincible in a bo5/bo7 series.

I give up, there's no pleasing fans of everyone. Daigo and Flash (and Federer, cheering for him to win Wimbledon) are LEGENDS. End of story. Enjoy Marvel.

Is the front page stream random? Was surprised to see this instead of evo.

I don't believe so. At least during previous FGC events the official response was always that they wanted to promote smaller streams because our events "have so many viewers already."

ANd then Fishstix would get on twitter asking why the view count wasn't growing...

Most likely. He seems to like opening Phoenix and switching when someone shows they have some tech or can handle it.

I don't really respect Phoenix and I'm so so on Champ, but he's looking pretty good. And USA.

I don't particularly like FChamp, but he's been playing pretty ridiculously. He's had plenty of games taking out people with 2 characters and not using meter. His Magneto/Doom are just so good at opening people up, and his defence in return is ridiculous.

Justin Wong and ChrisG face off for Top 12. If Justin's Spencer/anti-Morrigan team is worth anything, he should not have problems.

EDIT: Challonge brackets are wrong? Really, wtf. lo

I just enjoy watching his Dormammu more. I think he is the only player in the world who understands how to transition between rushdown and zoning approaches in a real-time match.
