Yeah just this guy made an account purely to post the same message in both DayZ threads, I'd like to think that if anyone needs/wants to find a group they can just come to teamspeak.

I appreciate all the work that was done into getting TL server/active teamspeak but unfortunately for me I live about as far away from Atlanta, while still being in the county, you can get and the lag is unplayable.

I can play on most west coast servers but if it gets very far inland the ping gets pretty high. Keep in mind I have exceptional Alaskan internet at a whopping 4MB :S.

You need mods for most of them, try the official arma forums or armaholic.

Just had an hell of a trip.
Spawned in Kemenka and hit the deerstands all the way to Bor then Kazlovka, find an akm and later a m4a1cco and other goodies along the way. Problem was that I had no water and after not fiding any forever I started dying from it.
I start booking it south to Chern and at around 3k bp I logout to check the map. When I log back in I have over 7k. Awesome.
just barely make it back to Chern and hit the water pump and luckily find a canteen in the house by it. Finally rehydrated and full from beans I look tawrds the hospital, I was at 3k. Aggro a zombie as I move out and get knocked out and broken legs. I wake up just fast enough to log out, I relog and have 300 health and bleeding, patch myself up and survive with 99 blood, now I gotta wait for blood from a friend tomorrow.

I am really amazed at how amazing of a weapon the M107 is, that is one evil weapon. It hits accurately as far as I have shot it, around 800 meters as of now, and one hit kills no matter where you shoot someone.

Spent all of tonight in Electro. First life I wandered aimlessly until people told me how to not suck, lasted about 15 minutes.
Second life I met up with 3 others in Electro and we wandered around for a bit. One guy broke his leg and in the process of trying to save him someone killed the rest of us.
Third life Shootemup. came on and sniped everyone from the hills and basically kept me alive for about an hour. I'm currently sitting in the north fire house with a broken leg.

I hadn't died for 12 days, but yesterday i was killed 3 times. Twice because someone i was travelling with drew the attention of zombies and as the axe guy i have to fight them. Another time i was killed by one of these barbed wire server hopper kiddies.
After never having spawned without being armed with a Makarov i'm actually not shocked by brutal difficulty. You can be pretty well equipped after a a couple of minutes if you know what you're doing and how to behave.
At the current state the game is quite fun, except for barbed wire abuse and the lack of really good servers. If you're looking for a good european server, one that worked well for me the last few days was: Lu 6

I'd love to try out the M107. I've used the AS50, M24, CZ and DMR so far. The AS50 is really quiet compared to all other snipers and is also a 1 shot kill with an effective range of 1.2 km.
