Found an ammo box at a crash site a few days back that had 10 SVD mags :D... was pretty bitter about not having an SVD at that moment  ...

I prefer the AS50 as it is a 1 hit kill, the SVD is basically a camo DMR.

I just did a balls out run to the medical tents in Cherno with my buddy and my good ol' truck.
I fell off the stairs in a barn, broken my legs, then my buddy came up and in the attempt to bandage me he then shot my legs. We had no morphine, he then loots the farm while I crawl my way back to the truck (300 meters), he then also falls off the barn, and breaks his legs.
So here we are, 300 meters from the truck, both of us broken legs, me at 4k blood. We get to the truck, and I say 'fuck it, to Cherno'. We stop to dump everything in the back so we can grab all the blood bags, then I drive like hell, everything is blurry, barely missing shit on the road in Cherno. We get to the Tents and crawl around looting shit, get blood bags and everything, suddenly my legs un-break themselves, but I still have the symbol. Shots heard.
Then we have to bug the fuck out, which ends up with me hanging the truck up on a concrete divider, wheel broken, engine damaged, we run to the gas station looking for shit, and me to get blood.
We go back to the truck, to begin the search for tools and a tire, and the truck is magically fixed somehow.

Nice! I've yet to run into a single heli crash, I'm not too lucky. Although it probably has to do with my tendency to stay in forests. You know, I'd be glad to take some SVD mags off your hands  Could even give you some stuff for your trouble a DMR perhaps? I'm really partial to the SVD but I haven't gotten a chance to play with mine yet.. only one mag for me, heh.
Oh yeah, another newbie question from me - - those arma videos where people practice / display the different guns on a shooting range, spawn targets at certain ranges etc - - how do they do that?

Found one today, FAL, couple mags, smokes and flares. I threw a smoke grenade to provide cover, and it promptly fell not 5 feet in front of my face.

I didn't actually pick up the ammo as I didn't have an SVD nor space in my backpack for the ammo incase I would find one :/... Besides that, I managed to die later as I ran up to an ATV I had shot down the driver from (I then got ambushed by his friends).
I can't answer your second question though, as I don't know the answer ...
