The have been good at messing up pole position this season too. They haven't really been that bad in the last half of the season. A lot of teams have had some issues with reliability and had a couple of breakdowns. It is just that McLaren tends to have Hamilton in uncontested P1 when they happen, and then people remember what happened early season. I still feel blessed that a wheel hasn't come off everytime McLaren exits the pits.
A 1-2 result for McLaren today would bode well for next year. It is no secret that Jensen has been having a terrible season, especially compared to his 2011 season which was quite good, and he hasn't been happy with the car. For 2013 it seems clear that Jensen is the main driver and the one for whom they will be developing the car, so I expect McLaren will make a car Jensen is much happier with and we will see a very strong Jensen back in 2013. I'm really hoping we can have Jensen in the battle for the championship next year.
In any case I hope for a great race today. Some light rain (in particular no rain-prompted SC) would be amazing. With a dry circuit I feel Vettel will get an easy victory (of the world championship) as long as he doesn't have alternator issues or something like that.

Anyone wanna bet there is not a red car with a brazilian in it on the left side of Vettel into turn one?
If I was anywhere near Vettel I would surely send a risky pass up the inside and expect him to give up the spot.

Strange enough as it seems, those alternators used by Renault engines are manufactured by a company owned by Fiat lolz. Oh the conspiracy theories if it should fail today.....

Don't be surprised if his car is full of gunpowder.

Magneti Marelli makes a ton of stuff for a lot of teams ^^
I was a bit surprised to learn that the problem was not thermal. Newey is pretty wellknown for pushing things to the limit.
edit 2: Rob Smedley is such a nice guy. I sitll remember how mad he was at german gp in '10.

And Saubers perform well in the wet track.

Just as I wanted to write that it is nearly over for Alonso since he is so far behind the top3, we have a safety car.

I think ferrari would rather take 2nd in the WCC than play the blocking game and attempt the WDC
