What's the point of claiming land, if I claim land..is it protected from destruction from random players, and the only way to harm it is by making a faction and declaring war? Or is there something else

Of coarse you can't.
If you make a 1 person faction and then declare war, I think that'd work. You can't be at war with nobody though.

So just watched the vod of the tutorial..
Can't you just make infinite money by making a shop, setting sell price on for instance dirt to 1000$ and then sell for profit? What am I missing

The person who has the shop has to pay for what gets sold to the shop.

Don't you think redstone bow is kinda op? I mean if it deals same amount of damage as a diamond sword, quick release time and you can kinda hit and run, I dunno, but seems imbalanced. Not like redstone is hard to get

Redstone is a limited resource though, and everyone has access to it. I think it'll be fine to be honest
