People saying they've never encountered a hacker either don't play much, haven't played recently or are very deluded (not sure about that word but it sounds good :D); in my last 20 or so games, I've played WITH a blatant wallhacker (DMG, rushing straight to people in site retakes 1V2 with no infos and checking 0 corners; I.E A inferno, comes from library, rushes to truck, kills a guy, starts defusing, looks at balcony and not towards boiler at all, prefires the guy, repeat every round where he had to clutch), a blatant no flash/smoke at least (1V1 retake, sees the guy starting to peek but gets fully flashed, shoots 3 bullets while flashed, at the end of the flash he was halfway defusing the bomb that was far from him when he got flashed with no way to know he had killed the dude, also did lots of fishy shit like always pushing when they were not on his side, but I couldn't spec him). I've had lots of other guys doing strange stuff (top fraggers with awful crosshair placement, terrible players destroying everything second half..) but I'm mainly spectating the friends I play with to give them advice so I can't be sure. Anyway my point was, you can't say there are no hackers in MM. It's simply not true, recent times have been the worst to play in MM ever between this issue, the shitty servers and the failed to create session issue.

There are hackers in MM. Sometimes they are blatant ones (guy jumping with negev from connector to tetris on mirage and getting 5 hs's in 3 seconds is pretty fucking obvious) and there are some not so blatant (plays liek shit 5 rounds, then suddenly prefires, knows your spot without checking any other corner, aims at fucking ground and gets hs's, and 3 rounds after he's sucking again so he can calmly claim that had a fit of inspiration. Obviously i'm over exaggerating on the second one, but you get the point. And everytime there is cs sale mm get's almost unplayable for a few days, unless you're lucky.

That's why I stay away from competitive whenever there's a sale on. Also I played against a hacker in fucking Deathmatch and that shit was so obvious plus he had a VAC banned so I was like you are still cheating the fuck.

I do think hacking has gotten more intense in the last week or so. Yesterday WarOwl did like 4-5 Overwatches, usually half at least are legit, this time they were all blatantly walling, some aim/triggerbotting as well.
Earlier today, I was farming for Operation: Breakout mission drops and playing casual. CT side dust 2, I smoked for the mid cross at the beginning of the round (against the left hand side box, the way you should according to AdreN), waited a sec, then crossed running with knive out and jumping and still got insta headshotted through the wall. It was the last round so I couldn't check the guy that killed me out more but that is crazy coincidence to get that kill imho. And that's in casual, not competitive. Hackers hack everywhere. Not just in LEM or whatever. They hack in Silver, they certainly hack in Gold Nova and I'm pretty sure they sometimes hack on custom servers, deathmatch and casual...
Aaaaaaanyways, I got a Breakout case drop today, it shows up in my ingame inventory but not in my Steam inventory and it's been like an hour. Does this happen frequently? Any ideas?
Also, is it correct that you can only do 5 missions a week? Because I did 4 in 24 hours so far lol.

Yeah sometimes it takes forever for cases to pop in your inventory NihiL. Also took like 20mn for allu to create a lobby to play with lurppis on his stream, time for valve to do something :D

2 missions per week feels like the average for me

I have a feeling that a lot of people are just jumping to conclusions when they keep getting outplayed. You're not alone. I don't know how many hours I have across my 4 accounts (MGE/DMG), but it's somewhere in the 800-1200. Only ran into about a hand full of blatant cheaters.
Although I will say I've had more than I can count, people who seemed fishy, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. At most, reported for Overwatch, and said nothing. Calling out hackers in game won't accomplish anything except self justification for you losing. They're not going to stop cheating if they are, and you just look silly if they aren't.

Dude, Tyloo is playing CSGO? hold dat, the Chinese are coming back

Okay, items showed up after a Steam restart. If 2 missions per week are regular, I got pretty lucky with my 4 completed missions in 24 hours I guess haha.
Goddamn I'm mad right now tho. Downranked to Gold Nova 1 again because of a win a comp match on Mirage objective. First queue I'm with only russians, we lose 16-8. Second game I'm in a game with only russians (I assume) who don't talk, don't know how to play and then kick me. Third game, I'm in an okay team (still no calls but at least not toxic) and we lose 16-12, I top-frag AND I get demoted.

Also, yay for ESEA. Playing on 128 is just soooo much better. I got a referral link by the way, if someone feels like subbing : http://play.esea.net/subscribe/?r=695559 . No trial code to give for the moment though

So what if they don't talk. Makes a nice change from cyka, suka, kurwa, screaming, bad info, hacker! "my team sucks", "this team is noob" etc.
Honestly I've seen guys kicked for complaining their team is shit and don't use mics and deservedly so. No one like a toxic player who thinks they are better than players the same rank as them simply because they got a mic and spams their sound environment with their voice talking shit. Not saying that you are of course, but then again I'm not the one getting kicked from games.
With all the stupid shit that can happen on your team, not having a mic barely registers as a disadvantage. It really doesn't matter that much to me. Sure it's preferable that they all use a mic, and give short and precise information, but complaining about it isn't going to make them use a mic, just like complaining that the opposing team has a hacker isn't going to make the possible hacker turn it off.

You really need to stop assuming things, it doesn't make for very nice conversations. Happened with xkcd on this or the last page and now again.
1.) I never complained to them, I kept it to myself. 2.) That was the first time I ever got kicked from any match. 3.) Mics are really, really important. You are a big disadvantage to your team without a mic. It's a fact.
Anyways, got a fifth mission and finished it just now (5 missions in ~26 hours lol). Won a match on overgrown (first time playing), it was easy because of the stupid downrank. And it dropped me a factory new desert eagle pilot. soooooo lucky! :p that turned my horrible CSGO day around in one match haha! Also pulled off some nice glock headshots that game (thanks CTs for lining up):
Made me feel a little bit better after being upset about getting kicked unfairly...

A total of 800 hours. A total of 1 blatant cheater and maybe two dozen at most suspicious people that I always write off as smurfs or straight up better than me.
I'm personally of the opinion that unless I really understand the game and play the game at a high level (I'm shit), it's just bullshit to try to make too many conjectures based a few fishy/suspicious plays. Even when I'm in overwatch, there's just not enough evidence in SO many of the overwatch demos that I view. I've only said people have been hacking in like.......less than 10% of all my overwatch matches, and I don't think I'm lenient/retarded either.
edit: obviously there are hackers, but I'm just surprised that people have such bad experiences with MM as opposed to what I experience

Is there any fix to the bug that your push to talk just isnt working, besides restarting your game? In the last few days, it really got out of hand. It got so far, that whenever I play with my mates, we sit in teamspeak(since there is nothing wrong with our microphones, it is just GO) and one becomes elected to give the calls of the others whos push to talk isnt working ingame to the rest of our team who arent on ts. Earlyer it wasnt that big of a problem, but the last week it happened almost in all our matches at least to one of our team. When it happens to one of us, it is annoying, because then one has to repeat everything ingame, but if it happens to one of the random teammates, its just frustrating. Losing because of the lack of calls sucks.
|
I thought the bug was that the icon that shows you're talking doesn't show up but that your voice still gets transmitted.
|
Maybe this bug also exists, but push to talk/microphone is definitly not working in GO some times.

Damn the ol Acer Aspire lugs when playing CS:GO, possibly due to a memory leak. 2gb ram & a Nvidia GeForce gt420m does not go as far as it used to. Valve should make a high-framerate low settings option for the game.

the game was originally built for console architecture (360 and ps3 arch). So thats where most of the performance problems stems from
