If you're in silver or nova, there are no hackers at your level, they're just playing better than you

That said yeah most overwatch cases that I watch are really dumb. I watch less and less these days, there's really no incentive.

In my mind, it's always a good idea to just assume you got outplayed, or the guy is smurfing, or the guy just did better than you. It helps build a better competitive mentality. I think Day[9] in that episode 100 of the Day[9] Dailies had the best mindset when he played against this cheater repeatedly despite the fact that it was a blatant cheater and it actually helped him to get better in some circumstances. It's annoying to hear in MM when people get outplayed and the first things are things like "lucky" or "that's bullshit" or "okay, lol, he's hacking."

I understand it's better with friends but most of the time, ironically, I don't feel like speaking because it takes more effort and concentration in FPS than other games (in Dota 2, I'm a fucking chatterbox). That being said, when I was trying to get better, I avoided a lot of solo queue. I probably played...one/two matches per day and spent the rest of my time playing DM matches and more consistently this map: I played this until I could consistently hit above 50 and sometimes even in the 60 range (my personal highest is close to 70...but I think that was luck). It improved my reaction time a lot and I got a lot more consistent with my aim. Now, I also do what a poster posted a few pages ago, which is this one: Right now I'm not solo queueing for the most part and I spend my time killing 500 bots with an AK, 500 bots with the m4 and then some AWP practice just because I never know when I'll have to use it. And obviously I only go for headshots.

Also lol at a guy being so happy at being nova1 he starts trashing talking about silver players. You are just 1 derank from being back to silver lol.

And yes, really good aim can take you very far, but it's easy enough to get better aim than 99% of silver/nova players by playing DM for just a couple weeks. After that it takes much longer to get better. Plus, playing DM for too long gives you bad habits like predicting angles off of spawn locations and such which doesn't really improve your aim.

I don't think he was directing that statement at me, but rather the newly fresh Nova1 players in general. But ye, DM too much can be a bad thing (see Scream's career)
