When something in csgo is straight up BROKEN either due to balance or design, people are allowed to say so. Try and do the same thing here and you get shit on by 2/3s of the other posters and then some random mod with a god complex bans you for a week. Just saying, look at how much valve has been listening to the community with their constant updates. None of that would be possible if there weren't an outlet for people to speak freely and the proof is in the puddingg - csgo is fucking huge and getting bigger. Hu I've never been warned or banned on TL even when borderline balance whining, you really have to write something retarded to be moderated... HLTV is straight up awful, reading some 1.6 vs CS:GO or source threads kills your brain cells

Maybe, but the spirit is probably still the same. I must have missed all the interesting threads, because every single one I opened was just a long line of stupid replies/flaming/random agressive bs. I'll admit I very seldom go on HLTV though, I mostly use the cs:go reddit.
But I don't think you can say that the moderation on TL is abusive, nor that HLTV's is good. You're free to prefer HLTV, but I don't think you can objectively say that TL should be moderated the same way.

I agree there is a lot of waste but I prefer the emotions of the fans on display on that site over the way people react to the game here. It makes for great rivalries not only between teams and organizations but also between fans as well. Makes the game feel truly competitive and makes the most unimportant matches seem extremely consequential.

The point of TL moderation is that all SC2 balance discussions are necessarily between people with vested interests in one side or the other. So regardless of who is right, few people are prepared to change their mind because most really only care about their own side of the argument.
CS is obviously completely different because everybody is on an even footing. Is 30 rounds per game too many/few? you can have an intelligent discussion about it because any change doesn't automatically favor one person over another. Want to balance whine about the CZ? Go ham because any nerf to the CZ affects all players equally. Want to balance whine about Broodlord/Infestor? well the issue is that you are advocating directly hurting the strength of 1/3 of the player base who won't be happy with that. In fact, they often feel personally attacked, since people use terms like "no skill" etc, which is why it has to be moderated carefully.

HLTV is outright retarded with its lack of moderation. People posting there are either under 15 or have serious braindamage 95% of the time.
TL might be a bit too strict on its moderation for some peoples tastes but its a damn sight better then HLTV lol.
