Quoted as "Rude" "Disrespectful" and "Stupid" because he's in a 250k tournament and could have thrown away an easy round doing it. Plz, he just rekt fiflaren.

Plz, he just rekt fiflaren. I mean, he did take a risk in that he could have gotten caught, and he also gave up the opportunity to get the 3rd kill there while going for it. It's a really cool play, but I don't get why people would say that.

"We told him directly that you can't do that, it's not fair play, and we hate that. We told him in-game and then we had to stay focused of course, and we told him after the match. I mean, we all have respect between every teams and every players. For two reasons, you never do that again, because one the match is never over, so you don't have to bring a knife like this because you're happy or whatever, the game can always turn around. Moreover the fact is, as I said, it's disrespectful. Anyway, we told him and I don't want to see it again." Interview on HLTV

And esports already suffers from too much disrespect for the oponent teams in general. Grow up and be a sportsman. //did Semmler really said that they are going to play aztec? Hyped. Havn't seen that map in competetive play for a decade, lol.

Grow up and be a sportsman. . As long as you gain something from knifing somebody (i.e money), its not disrespectful by any means in my opinion. People try to knife during pistols for extra money, how is that disrespectful. Sure, it was really risky move, but it paid off.

The only sad thing in that case is that it's fifflaren getting knifed, and he didn't really need another reason for haters to bitch about him. But talking about fair play and respect is totally out of place in my opinion, if there was no additional reward for a knife kill then ok maybe, and even then it's not like you're insulting the guy directly, just taking advantage of a misplay to potentially gain a psychological advantage in a 250K tournament.

It was a pretty cheeky play, I see it paying off more if he kept the rifle out and got 3 headshots instead of 1 knife 1 rifle kill.

Definitely, but then there is situations when its x vs 1, guy is cornered. Risking for a knife and that extra money, while securing the kill with a pistol if things go wrong. I'm sure we've seen that before. Why wouldn't pro teams do that if it can pay off? Because its disrespectful? Anyways, is there a bracket for ESL One? Couldn't find one on HLTV.. e. nvm, http://www.esl-one.com/csgo/

He stood behind them and could have just got them all with the famas. Losing Kevlar+Famas is not worth an 1500$ kill, that's simple math. He even pulled that that smiley in the end, showing that it really wasn't for the tactically play but for mocking the oponent. @Nimix: Doesn't matter for me who does it. I'm not a NiP fan. As said, it depends on the situation if it makes sense. Knife kills rarely make sense and if they do and get pulled of they are amazing. Using it to mock oponents however isn't ok.

Play itself wasn't disrespectful (the smiley part sure - if true. I missed that), it was RISKY and It paid off. You can 4 or 6 pool in Starcraft, it's still a play. Risky one, but still. If someone sees it disrespectful, then go ahead.
