The real issue is that pistols are better than SMG's assuming armor which is a safe assumption. | ||

I'm not saying "don't buy", i'm saying "don't only buy rifles". They definitely have a place, but even at higher levels (in matchmaking, let's say double ak or DMG), assuming good teamplay and correct positioning and cover, and people not losing rifles rushing like dumbasses is wishful thinking. It happens. But there's a time and place for SMGs, and rifles. at low level though, you mostly see people going "woot, I can buy an m4 second round !", die, lose the round, "ahhhh, I have no moneyyyy !", and not thinking it through "hmmmm, will they have bought gun/kev, or an early weapon buy ? I should play safe and take an m4" It's better to learn how to manage the money first to have good weapons for the situations in the most number of rounds possible than go "hu, never buying a SMG, they're shit", which was the post I was reacting to. | ||

I also just read a post on reddit about the deagle and the CZ, and the guy was saying they should remove the CZ and buff a bit the deagle so that it's back to being a good eco buy that can turn around the game while requiring skill to use. Hope valve feels the same way and does something soon, cz really is retarded both to use and to play against.. | ||

But seriously, all these people talking about improving from Nova. You don't need all this fancy stuff, just play more and get a game sense. You don't need to have pinpoint accuracy or have amazing knowledge of every pop flash on the current area of a map. Simple things like... 1. Don't bait your teammates. If you bait, at least get a revenge kill or two. 2. Don't run in one by one when taking or re-taking a site. 3. Don't block your team's rush by standing there because you didn't want to die (in smoke/flashed). 4. Make accurate calls or just keep quiet. People at DMG still cannot some of the most obvious things. Being able to distinguish between various ground tile sounds. And most importantly! 5. Shut up when you are dead and you have nothing useful to tell your team. Hell, even 15s into the room, please stop talking so I can hear if they are rushing inner A or ramp on Nuke properly. You think these things I said are obvious? 99.9% of Nova players do it. See you guys in DMG soon  | ||
