Yno i cant believe i played at such a high sens for so many years. I didnt play FPS for like 18 months (was in sri lanka, gl with ping.) so when i got back i dropped everything by like 1/2 or more because people say lower is better. Im only at like 1200 DPI / 3.04 in game (pretty sure thats ridiculously high for most of you) but it just feels so much nicer O.O I wasted my youth with stupidly high sensitivity when i could have been top fragging the shit out of everyone instead of being that above average dude D: . 1200DPI/3.04? Right now, I play with a ~25.6"/64.9 cm 360.. (400 dpi, 1.6 sens). I was playing at 2.0 sens which is approx 20"/50cm 360.
I can't understand how people are comfortable with such high sens =P Yeah...i still need to lower it a piece for sure but ive never done the "move your hand across the mousepad" thing and i don't think i could ever get used to it in that respect. It is still too high though and i need to drop it down more. Probably 900dpi / 1.5 sens is a good target for me. Im so used to pivoting on my wrist instead of moving my arm. Been doing it for god damn years XD
I also do wrist pivot. I'm still pretty low though, 400/1.5

So I bought like 40 stickers during Katowice for .25 each or whatver, just sold 2 for 2.50 a piece and the least valuable of them is sitting over a dollar right now, best investment ever.

graphics = whatever gives decent fps
rates = set by server
crosshair = for me its the classic green from 1.6 except its static

These are the commands you want in your config
cl_interp "0"
cl_interp_ratio "1"
cl_cmdrate "128"
cl_updaterate "128"
rate "128000"
cl_forcepreload "1"
Rates are set to 128 just in case you play on 128 tick servers (servers that aren't MM). Other than that, graphics setting and crosshair are a preference.

Turning up digital vibrance in the Nvidia pannel or the ATI equivalent while playing cs:go can help a bit (and gamma too, if you play in windowed), as the game colors are very dull. I didn't find any graphic settings that helped visibility aside from removing motion blur though (not sure what effects does, but it doesn't seem to reduce the amount of particles in smokes and HE explosions).

What about movement bob values (the subtle 'lifting/falling' sine wave movement you make when walking/running), are there any tips to remove that (I found some cl_bob stuff in the console)? And I also see some people have instant duck/standing transitions (WarOwl on Youtube for example), no smooth animation, anybody know how to sort that out?
Also, is the Valve MM always this bad? I just played 2 competitive games in a 5 man arranged team, me being not ranked yet, them being gold nova 2 and we played against a master guardian elite and some others that were 1-2 ranks below. Not exactly a fair fight.

It figures out where you belong fairly quickly think it took 12 wins for me to get my at to my mains rank.

I've seen some pro configs that changes some cl_bob values but as I don't know what they do, I don't use them. I doubt they have any effect on gameplay.

IIRC, cl_bob changes the movement of your gun (the way that it bobs around while moving)

Your mmr was probably the same range so MM system decided if you should promote soon or not. the Unranked guy might be either a smurf or hacks

I was the unranked guy, completely new account (my first), went 2-1 in 'placement matches' up to that point! Anyways, I guess it's just pretty random when you're joining with a 5 man team?
I'll play around with the cl_bob stuff tomorrow and try and research if/how you can adjust the duck/stand transition to be instant. Will post back if I find anything out!

It was a guy in placements roughly at LEM but unranked, which dragged the average up. Before that match I was playing matches of all DMG, so no my MMR wasn't in the mg2/mge range before
