Yno i cant believe i played at such a high sens for so many years. I didnt play FPS for like 18 months (was in sri lanka, gl with ping.) so when i got back i dropped everything by like 1/2 or more because people say lower is better. Im only at like 1200 DPI / 3.04 in game (pretty sure thats ridiculously high for most of you) but it just feels so much nicer O.O I wasted my youth with stupidly high sensitivity when i could have been top fragging the shit out of everyone instead of being that above average dude D: .
1200DPI/3.04? If I played with those sens settings, every time I rounded a corner, I would be doing a 360 and somehow looking at the sky. Im current 400DPI/2.1 sens and I feel like that is way too high for myself

Wow! That's a ~4.5"/11.4 cm 360.. To change your aim by 10 degrees you have to move your mouse ~0.1"/0.3 cm. Just think about that..
Right now, I play with a ~25.6"/64.9 cm 360.. (400 dpi, 1.6 sens). I was playing at 2.0 sens which is approx 20"/50cm 360.
I can't understand how people are comfortable with such high sens =P

Which sens range should i test playing with a 1000dpi mouse? Last games i played with 4. Something goes terrible wrong with my current hardware setup. It's not that i'm playing wrong or don't have game sense, but i don't hit anything. Same goes for Bf3. I locked frames at 60 and checked choke/loss serveral times but they are constant at 0. Sometimes i got a short spike which most likley is caused by wlan. On aim_ servers everything seems to be okay, but in mm.... or am i realy that bad?!

At 1000 dpi, I'd play with sensibility on 1 and it'd still be too fast.

if you're set on using 1000dpi, your ingame sens should be between 0.6-2
also do not lock your frames at 60....... disable vsync and fps_max 0

I play at 400 dpi with 2 sensitivity. Recently upped to 2.7 to be able to check things faster.
Its working out pretty good, but I need to get used to it still .

Hey So, I've been wondering for a while what FPS should I buy, I was a huge fan of Modern Warfare 2(PS3) and really liked playing on it and probably had like 12 prestiges done, however now that I don't play any FPS wanted to ask you guys, why should I buy CS GO ?
|
Sure, just be ready to change the way you play rather dramatically.

If you're looking for a competitive FPS then CS GO is it. Coming from console FPS the learning curve is going to be pretty steep. Join the TL steam group and find people to play with and tolerate your noobiness. Playing on your own can be pretty toxic, but you're probably used to that from CoD. You'll want to play casual / deathmatch for a bit to get used to the guns / maps, but you'll want to jump on competitive pretty soon as that is where the real fun is.

If you are looking for a competitive FPS, csgo is definitly the right choice now. Its a challenging game, but as such, it is very satisfying once you get good at it, because skill is rewarded in this game. Also, its a FPS that has a lot of team aspect in it, and it is really fun to play with friends or people that communicate well with eachother. It also adds another dimension to the game, other than just raw aiming / mouvement.

I use 900 dpi with ingame sensitivity 1 and it works for me.

My aim is still awfull because after years of quake i find myself really weird having to move the mouse so slowly.
Too much Defrag makes me always getting my sensivity higher in CS because it feels weird. Only thing i do is slowly match after match get the sensibility lower by 0.5. I'm currently still at 3 something on standard Death adder dpi (never changed it)

Yeah...i still need to lower it a piece for sure but ive never done the "move your hand across the mousepad" thing and i don't think i could ever get used to it in that respect. It is still too high though and i need to drop it down more. Probably 900dpi / 1.5 sens is a good target for me.
Im so used to pivoting on my wrist instead of moving my arm. Been doing it for god damn years XD

What I play at is 400 DPI, 2.35 sensitivity, which I just took from the start of playing cs from a ScreaM stream.
|
About sensitivity, you basically want to be able to do a 180° in one sweep, and then keep the lowest possible. It's important to be able to turn your back to a flash and check corners and stuff fast, but otherwise the lowest the better cause more precision and better muscle memory etc. For what it's worth I use 1.45 for 800 dpi (6/11 windows no accel blabla), it's still highish as FPS goes, I think it's around what get right uses but higher than other pros. I have a normal sized goliathus tho, so I can't go lower without my mouse hitting the desk
