I accidentally hit the button to get the batch half a year ago or so. Shortly after a friend asked me to get prime but I couldn't get because I was like lvl 3 and needed lvl 20 although I had already leveled to 40 once. I guess it's an oversight or so because it makes absolutely no sense. If you prestige/get the service medal, you should still be able to get prime. This is should be for 1st time level 21s. As in, people with no service medals.
Weird. I haven't tried it in a while because I have not been playing at all lately. However, when I tried it I got a notification that I needed more experience. Might be a bug then?

I am 100% sure that Prime needs EITHER 21 levels or a service medal (2016 or 2017). I have 2 accounts which are below level 21, but have a service medal and are in fact Prime.

I'm sure this is a common issue, but has anyone experienced random bits of lag/rubberbanding? It's very sporadic, but I'm holding onto the feeling that it's not my internet. If anyone has any troubleshooting advice, feel free to PM.

If you have a service medal, you've already been through all the levels, and thus at least level 21.

Silver for life ! >D I did the same last month. I'm flirting with gn4 right now. The skill comes back to you Never had skills in CS:GO although in most of my silver games I end up 1st or 2nd with most frags and most MVPs.
Once I've played first competetive game and got into Silver II, I've won 5 games afterwards and didn't raise a single rank, how come?

I quit CS in October to play Wow Legion. I had only played CS 6 months straight by then. Coming back now, and it's been 5 week's already, only CS, I still feel worse then my form before I gave it up for wow :/ I used to consistently have impressive kills (challenging their 'carrier') that made people callout cheating, but this haven't happened at all now, and my frags aren't that good as well.
So for me, the skills I had, are pretty damn slow to come back to where it was :/ Still I enjoy the game a lot, but is it just me that don't care much for skins? Almost all my skins are base, except awp and mag7 that I got from opening cases I got.

See there's your problem. Better skins, better wins!

Seems pretty stupid to win 5-6 games, being #1 in frags and having a couple of MVPs and not raising up from Silver II to a higher rank? Doh, takes too long. I was GN2 before I went inactive.

its Wierd. I played my friends account who was inactive but didnt have time to play and smashed like 13 games in a row with 40 bombs and only went from silver3 to silver elite and then he came in played 4 games and got to GN3.
Bottom line is the game will generally put you where you belong over the course of a month of playing regularly. That has ben my experience atleast.

It can vary a lot depending on the round difference in these wins. A 16-14 isn't going to push you forward as much as a 16-7.

5 really isn't enough either, I've gone 8-0 several times and not ranked up.
|
i've won 5 in a row, then lost 3 in a row and then played a draw, weirdly that draw promoted me to DMG so I gave up thinking how promotion system works
at least I was able to play with Niko once, he carried our team entire 1st half of Cache game and the second half opponents simply surrendered :/

CS GO ranking seems to work on a moving point average or some sort of system based on time judged on the amount of times I have been promoted/demoted in between games. Either that or the result of VAC invalidating games. Anyhow, circumstantial evidence suggests that winning games massively outweighs kills per game.

Draws count as a win for both teams regarding up-/down-ranking.
