Probably shattering removing elemental proliferation since it makes cold damage/freezing terrible. GGG would have to completely rework proliferation to fix this though because it is an engine limitation with the way the skill is currently set up.

I'm referring to proliferating an ailment from a white mob to a unique, bypassing all its defenses. The most obvious example is the perma freeze of map dominus with freeze mine + ele prolif. Instead of proliferating a 1k freeze, it sends a ~5sec freeze, and works against basically everything in the game.
The shattering mechanic is also pretty stupid, but at least it's not game-breaking, it's only "terribly annoying".

Yeah it's pretty irritating it doesn't get fixed. I think it's not a good mechanic to trivialise all bosses in the game by just one simple thing. But I also think they have to rework bosses then. Map dominus still takes ages to kill with insane dps. And you can see what he does if he gets out of perma-freeze, his dmg is insane. I think he is not really feasible in hardcore leagues without perma-freeze atm. Which is imho broken, too.
They just buffed Igna for you btw.

So apparenty vendoring a weapon with a rustic sash achieves an IPD roll now. If it works the way the flask recipes worked, you could get cruel on a weapon, augment for speed, and have the easiest time ever rolling weapons.

That is the whole point of proliferation though. If it didn't bypass defenses why would you use it?
and I could be wrong here, but isn't GGG_Neon the person who actually popularized the abuse of this?

What's with the constant disconnects? I downloaded the game today (Steam one) and every few minutes I get disconnected. It is unplayable.

You would use it to strengthen your elemental alignments. I thought that's what it's supposed for? I think it would be too weak on bosses not bypassing any defenses but it shouldn't bypass all of them.

Don't know why anyone would download this game from steam but anyways: The servers had some issues in the last days but only for an hour or so. It didn't affect all. I could pretty much play without problems while others disconnected very often. It may have some correlation with your provider, too (not only of course, but often times it's not only one source for such a problem). Today their webside and racing counter got offline spikes, too.

Theres a mega-high-crit phys/chaos/dot dagger that seems pretty good (I'd guess it hovers at 3-4 ex forever). Theres the terrible staff that they previewed. Theres an unuseable hat that sets all your resists to 0 and one more I forget.
Edit: oh yeah the last one is a super low level shield that buffs your curses but also makes curses last twice as long on you. Also rarity on a shield >_>

Sad panda . Oh it's a trapper staff, which means another spell staff :/. Why are all the unique spell staves are awesome while the physical one is terrible beyond comprehension :| Edit 2: lol max 3s staff, can it get any worse?

You'd use it to spread ailments around, and if ailments are useless against rares+, fix it there. Burn prolif is mostly fine as is, but permafreezing anything close to a white is disgusting, no matter who popularized it.
Ele prolif was meant to be used with skills like ice spear or glacial hammer, where a single hit could freeze an entire group, but the whole bypassing thing makes it either mostly useless (since ailments on bosses are pretty bad), or entirely OP when you have a white around.
It's bad design and everyone knows it. I doubt people get excited watching a streamer permafreeze a boss for 5 minutes. The endgame suffers from it.
Anyway, I don't think this is the place/time to argue about this. GGG will get to it in due time, hopefully in the ice patch that has to be coming. Focus on winter and ice. Imagine an Ice Shot that rivals Lightning Shot, and an Arctic Breath so good, people start calling it Frozen Orb.

Dagger looks quite cool. Fits to the recent DoT buff. I think the helmet is intended to be used with high spell-block. Immortal Flesh will probably synergise good as well.

Nemesis+Dominion one week that parents into Nemesis afterwards looks like it will be a lot of fun. Shame that the timing is poor for me though
