Had a pretty good chest piece drop for my Marauder last night (used 15ish Jewellers to 6s, about 10 fusing to 5L):
Golden Plate
R-G-R-R-R R (5L, 6S)

A huge upgrade from the garbage piece I was using, and the extra resistance frees up other gear slots to get more life. Hooray!
The extra 5L also allowed me to boost my HS DPS from like 12k to 19k (both adding an additional support and getting it colored properly for HS-Faster Attacks-Melee Phys-Added Fire-WED instead of HS-FA-Melee Phys-Added Cold (it was previously in a non-STR item and I didn't feel like burning a million chromatics on it, since I use Ground Slam almost exclusively since it's linked to IIR).

Minus the thorns, that is a real nice chest =). And that RNG pro rolls.. grats!

Something something bought my 6L yesterday. ilvl 79 Astral, 104 life 1199 armor and some cold res i don't care about.
Gave me almost 2K dps though, from 7.8K to 9.7K DPS. 10K DPS is well with reach

Its so obnoxious honestly I feel like socketing items is worse than linking them (assuming 5l is good enough). I wish you luck and don't know what else to say

Still haven't ever seen a 6L, but whatever they're not necessary.
5Ling takes between 50 and 100 fusings for me usually. My Glorious Plate ilvl 74 however took like 200-300 jewellers to 6s and more than 150 fusings to 5L.

It sucks but that's rng for you. And noone complains when they 5 link with the 5th fusing or sth like that. So yeah, someone has to have the bad luck to balance things out ><

I finally hit 15k dps solo with the shiny new Gifts from Above. Of course with 4.5k hp I still die to a lot of things, but with the range of Ground Slam it's better now ^_^
Still working towards that BoR though, half way there.

Fuck, I'm mad. I was level 27 with about 20 minutes left in the 2h solo, almost at Battlefront. I'm doing my standard Quicksilver + ST spam to kill mobs and progress. A rare tags me with Puncture and I go from ~440 HP to dead before I can react. Obviously I didn't have any Staunchings, because it's a race. Died at 10th on the ladder and would've gotten level 31-32 and 2nd Shadow if I'd survived. RIP 13 points. =\

i think people have some preconceived notion that only certain things are supposed to go on certain items, which is bullshit of course. it's kinda similar to how people have stagnated into a chaos (and exalt to a lesser extent) based economy even with the barter economy that GGG gave us.
The economy of the game kinda pisses me off. We could have had a great chance to do something really interesting with a purely barter-based economy but people don't understand how that works or some shit and so they just default to using a standard currency. and then they get mad as shit if someone tries to actually barter for their items that are priced at rock-bottom.

Well it is still a barter system, people just only want to barter with chaos etc. I don't know if not having "standardized" ratios in an easy to reference place is affecting anything. But even then people have their own notions of what is valuable so it really still comes down to what are you willing to give for it.
Fortunately, there is at least some notion of value widely accepted to even allow reasonable bartering to happen. I think the main issue would be people's stubbornness or false sense of entitlement to always have it their way. It is pretty sad to see some currencies essentially devalued with the whole shift to chaos/exalt economy.

I've dabbled in trading essentially every currency, I don't think theres a serious issue with how it is right now. Theres definitely room for arbitrage in there as well.
I'll admit that Items usually sell for chaos/exalts, and the other currency is treated as items that you buy and sell for chaos, but still. It seems to work pretty well.

that cold damage will work surprisingly well with hatred lol.
Its a nice ammy but I need life super badly lol. Will that Int let you use higher level item rarity or are you giving up on that gem entirely?
