You get a free exalted orb, or if you are softcore you get exalted orb + 3 gcp

PoE plays the same trick as some other modern games (DotA 2 cough cough) where 16:10 resolution gives you a much worse view compared to 16: 9. I just reset my resolution to the latter and it's a world of difference. =S

Which is why running solo maps is pretty wasteful, unless you run 66 maps to try and get 67-68 maps for your group. You also spend a lot less currency on maps to upgrade them since all that currency benefits a bunch of people. This either allows you to get optimal rolls for every map you run or just spend less overalll. Balancing party versus solo for maps seems rather impossible anyways. The only way to balance it would be to make soloing vastly overpowered/superior due to the inherit benefits of partying (auras, quantity bonus, currency/map pooling, etc etc).

I made a nice profit doing 66-69 maps just rollings with trans and alterations. at 70+ it starts to really hurt. when you spend 4 chisels + 1-5alchs on average on a map just to recieve a 67 map or nothing at all stuff goes down the drain fast. also when you solo alot like me swings in rng can totally ruin your day. just saying it here again, ign zashah, add me if you wanna do (higher)maps softcore.

I got really lucky with drops up to now (lots of +life dual resist stuff) but my luck is running out and my gear is starting to look obsolete . The Cruel penalty to resists is really killing me right now. Plus I kinda feel like I've taken all the good nodes near me on the tree and I'll need to "stretch" to get to other ones, but its like a bunch of travel nodes to most anything that I think is worthwhile... ![]() (I'm playing Dual-Wield Swords Cleave, but it doesn't seem all that good past normal lol). PS When do you start finding granites? I've yet to find one but they look pretty strong.

Unless you have something really amazing like a boot with MS life and resists or a weapon with really good damage rolls it isn't worth keeping around. Even with such items though you get more leveling mileage out of things like Silver Branch or Searing Touch since gem levels are far more important than items in the early game.

The drop changes are more interesting. Not sure one screen is big enough, although I rarely party so I don't see this change bothering me at all.

Current build Planned build My question is this: is it worth getting the keystones for permanent curses and the additional curse? Since I'm getting static blows, permanent curses is only 4 nodes away, with double curses being another 4. Then I could run something like enfeeble with temporal chains. I'd have to give up some nodes in the ranger side of the tree in order to accomplish this though.
