You guys see this stuff about the alternate race types?
We have published the details of more race events in the Season One Calendar. There are new event types:
Multiproj: All ranged monsters have +4 projectiles. Enjoy the Submerged Passage!
Ancestral: We're not revealing what properties this league type has until after people have played it. It's a lot of fun :D
Blood Magic: All players are affected by the Blood Magic keystone - i.e. they spend life instead of mana for skills.
I don't think I'd participate in any races right now, just don't have enough HC experience in general to be able to race so I don't feel confident in it. I'll enjoy watching the top PoE streamers race though under these new conditions.

So I've started over maybe 7 times now to play with friends, and so far none of them have survived pass vaal cruel, leaving me with half a dozen mid 40s and no one to play with, why must they be so bad....
New races sound dangerous as hell and that makes it fun

Im pretty excited for the new race types, kind of sad im going to miss the first ancestral race, I want to know what it is!

Ancestral race is supposed to have it's own reward item as well that can only be gotten in it much like old Demigod's

I'm surprised they don't mention a buff to Life Gain on Hit now that it (rightfully) scales with skill effectiveness. Hopefully that also includes LMP, Chain, etc. A +50% buff seems in order, seeing as it's at least a 4x nerf for LA, pretty much the only OP thing about LoHit.
Btw, Ancestral is very likely to be Random Totems, WaterfallCaves-style.

What do you have to lose? Just plunge in and get over your l̶a̶d̶d̶e̶r̶ race fear.

CI was absurdly OP. You might have an argument that it was overnerfed, but the bonus was removed for a reason.

On another note, what's a reasonable +%quantity on a blue map? And how 'dangerous' (SC) is something like 2 unique bosses for a solo bowranger?

I generally aim between 10-15% but that's just personal preferance. Solo bow ranger should be able to safely destroy anything

I just went into a TP, never loaded the area and crashed because my "game was out of memory" after a couple of seconds. I relog just to find myself in default league.
Does anyone here have any idea if GGG has the ability to refund in a case like this?

We can not restore dead hardcore characters or lost items for any reason. This is a general policy and we do not make exceptions. Due to bugs during the beta, items may be lost or characters may die due to reasons outside of your control. Please do report these incidents in the Bug Reports forum, but do not contact support asking for restoration.

Like my game crashed twice due to out of memory erros trying to get from Vaal to City of Sarn. I decide this is super unusual so I restart my computer. This time I get through Vaal fine but the next TP I go in it's the exact same error (PoE tried to load to more than 1.8GB RAM and crashed, usually it takes 1.2ish GB max). I restart and am in default.
At least I'm having no RAM issues in the exact same areas in default. -_-

I'd group with you if you wanted. I am a lvl 40 EK witch. Using the EK tank build off exilepro site. I've lost a few HC characters already but I always am pressing on. I want to get a high lvl main so I can eventually roll a twink of a different style of play. Maybe by the time melee is buffed.

Depends on the boss, and the geography of the map where the boss is. If it's like the one's based on hillock, fairgraves, chatters etc it would not be a problem. For the ones based brutus, fidelitis etc it gets a bit more hairy, cos your stuck in a small room with 2 of them, you can't guarantee that you can always kite them around and sometimes if they come at you from different angles it's tough to dodge them.
Definitely don't do 2 bosses on the one based on perpetus, 1 of him is bad enough. Also the one based on Alira you risk getting corpse exploded with one of the corpses for massive damage.

wait wait, ill get 20% FLAT bonus to my current es? here i come 5.5k es! over 1k added lifepool matters way more then going from 13k to 12-12,5k dps ~
