It's their inability to score goals and Busquets is a large part of it. so, I guess if you score only 187 goals in one season that's really really bad, I mean if you have a team made out of cripples you'll score more goals than that right?

Flame away. Haha, I'm not sure I can agree with you about the first sentence. He DID have an amazing game against Bayern for sure. He is underrated but he isn't world class imo, he consistently gave the ball away whenever he was on the pitch in the league even if he is good at defending. Basically, most dangerous players in Chelsea for giving away possession are Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Luiz. Mostly because of suspect passing, and Meireles because he shoots all the time with about a 1% chance of scoring. I think Ramires and Luiz balance out their failures with other aspects (though I think Luiz would be better at Barca). I would never be able to put Mikel or Meireles on the same level as Makelele or even prime Essien. As much as Meireles has been good playing his role in the team, there are many players we could bring in who could do the same but not take so many god damned potshots. Mikel is a nice backup though .

Anywho, it speaks to Barca's brilliance, and everyone's acknowledgement of that, that people ride them so hard for failing to win the 2 big competitions for 1 season.

Scoring 187 goals finishing 2nd in league and semi finalists in Champs League, not so good. Its like last year Chelsea won nothing and it was dubbed a shit season and resulting in manager being sacked, and we dont have the squad of Barca! So i guess you have to point fingers at them and say it was a bad season and they would probably agree. Pretty sure they will bounce back, and i wish them the best of luck.

World Club championship which they SHOULD win and i guess the equivilant to the Community Shield in Spain? that makes the 3 already. The only one of value is the Copa Del Ray/Super cup. Super cup they made hard work off vs Porto went 1-0 down? Fought back when Porto went down to 10men? Won 2-1? Not sure vaguely remember it. So i guess you have to point fingers at them and say it was a bad season and they would probably agree. Pretty sure they will bounce back, and i wish them the best of luck. It just means they fluffed their lines on certain occasions and didnt perform when it really counted. Its very human. No one can win everything. Scoring 187 goals and finishing second just points out that the actual winner in the league was much better and well the semi was the semi, sometimes you dont put away what your supposed to and it doesnt work. Big deal. As for Yaya Toure scoring important goals. It seems like no one actually saw Yaya Toure playing at Barca because they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Yaya Toure scored a grand total of like 5 ? goals in the 3-4 seasons he was there and his appearances were limited. He rarely got the playing time he deserved (and thats no ones fault the team was just stacked and working to well) and if he did it was in bit part roles filling in for injured CB's or coming of the bench. So no even if he had hung around at Barca it would have been same old same old. Toure benefitted strongly from people like Nasri flopping for the most part and Silva having a poor second half of the season and well just his all round drive in a team that was more suited to him playing the way he does. For better or worse Barca would not have allowed to do that, too many weapons already there, they dont need Toure to score goals. They need to put away the chances they get, and on these occasions the people who usually do, didnt. Assuming that a Yaya Toure or a Seydou Keita should be depended upon or is in anyway some kinda of necessity as a goal threat is just being greedy. Xabi Alonso doesnt score goals like he used to at Liverpool at Real, wonder why that is ? He doesnt have to, and that additional element of the "important goal" is just a luxury that you shouldnt have to depend upon when you need a goal.

I'm not a big fan because of his theatrics and he pulls some pretty crazy tackles to get silly cards. Yaya is definitely my MVP DM this year. Mikel is a good candidate as well, although not yet on that level. Kid was sick against Bayern. I never seen Busquets tackle. He steals the ball away by anticipating plays most of the time, very effective way. He's very underrated in the Barca system imo. But I agree Yaya this season has been easily the best, the guy can also play as an AM without a problem as well.

Some of them are amazing and turn out to be scarily accurate when players go forward in their careers. A prime example was how amazing the game rated Papiss Cisse, and then he got bought by newcastle and the rest is history. I remember reading about it and most of their staff doing just that - scouting and adjusting the numbers. Supposedly some teams actually send approximate ratings in to them.

Fuck, something about English clubs in the Champions League is just epic as hell, so much grit and determination. I'm sure the intensity of the support must be part of it. The fans of every team in the prem are just insanely zealous and many put everything they have into their club. Guess this sums it up lol + Show Spoiler + ![]() Now if only our national team could show some of the grit that English clubs show regularly, we might be getting somewhere.
