The FA are such a bunch of overpaid, useless, nob heads. Listening to that press conference was painful. We took our time and waited for the best man for the job blah blah blah... They said the same arrogant shit the last 10 times they appointed some useless moron. We actually had a good manager called Fabio Capello; but they made him leave. Having said that Roy Hodgson is an alright choice. He's good enough that he might make something happen and unlike Harry Redknapp he could avoid some of the media shit-storm.

If I read that correctly, fans of Ireland have the most football knowledge. How come we have no Irish elitists posting here?

On another note, why the hell was Redknapp the FA messiah? The man hasn't had any real successes without bankrupting the clubs he's been at. Look at Southampton and Portsmouth, some decent results, he moves up and the club pays the price for short-termism and vast overspending. Hell, at Spurs they've had to cut the youth programme just to try and satisfy his push to the Champions League and they choked with the best Spurs team in decades. Without regular Champions League money Spurs will collapse and have to sell their players just to survive, and meanwhile 'Arry will have moved on again. He has won...what, an FA cup? And that's it. Hardly a stellar career suggesting England managerial material. Or maybe it does, since the other candidates have been in the past Sam Allerdyce (yeah, he didn't get it, but he was ahead of the next person by a way), McClaren (after a single season of over-performance at Middlesbrough, and who was never ready for the role. Maybe in a few decades, but only got the job as a compromise), Graham Taylor (....). We just don't have great English managers, and Hodgson is the most accomplished one to take over since Bobby Robson. Good luck. You'll need it.
