I don't know was Arsenal was thinking with signing Mertesacker and Podolski, they are both bad and both won't play in the starting-lineup for the german nationalteam. Mertesacker always was a really bad defender, he only played because we had nothing better in the national-team and the same with podolski. he is left footed, thats why he played. GZ CITY! I hope they win their last 2 games and win their first(?) championship!

headline should be understandable to anyone. and while this article says "expected" viewers 650 million, you have to remember that manunited is huge in asia - and thus this match might plausibly be bigger than wc final in some of the most densely populated regions of the world.

Look, according to wikipedia, the champions league final is "the most watched annual sporting event worldwide, drawing over 178 million television viewers". This number of 650 millions makes absolutely no sense. edit: Also this having a lot of viewers in asia: Time difference? And congratulations to City! Will beinteresting to see them in champions league next year again.

All my hope are on Newcastle though. City has two tougher game while ManU's two next opponents have no more desire this season, all most 6 points granted for ManU so ManC better watch out.

City deserved to win, unfortunately. Not sure why Ferguson decided to start with Park/Giggs instead of Welbeck/Valencia : \

The match was so important and tense for anyone to keep their temper down. Mancini(and most other coaches) has great respect for Fergie, after all Fergie is one of the most successfull manager in the history of football.

For a lone striker Rooney will always be the one give what United has right now. The Park decision was for a defensive 1st half which didn't work out though. But I think the worst one is starting Giggs, if they have Valencia/Young they might had some more decent chance. Also, he should have sub Giggs instead of Scholes, he brought Valencia and Welbeck on but took the playmaker out -_-.

Anyway, I am glad City won. Was really hoping for them to win this season if not Arsenal.

Not a great game, but a solid defensive performance from City...and Toure...what can I say. They were shit when he was out in Africa...when he came back they started winning again. Go figure. Ya, one could plainly see he would become world class midfielder even back in his Olympiakos days. Such a beast. On another note, ManC is walking the money road that Chelsea built first. Mby they will go to cl final next year, who knows.

Without him and Vincent Kompany they lacked the spine that held the team together for the first part of the season. The rough patch at the start of the year was a string of bad luck with injuries, suspensions, and Yaya's international duty. Toure is a manbeast...I don't know how he has the skill and pace with his massive figure but his finesse is equal to his strength. He's bossed the midfield like no else which makes me glad to have him in a blue shirt...wouldn't want to have to watch a game with him in the opposition 11.
