As for United, SAF really needs to figure out that midfield in the summer transfer period. Someone needs to drill in his brain that Carrick is trash. Eden Hazard maybe? | ||

Anyways, he would definitely not be a replacement for Carrick given that Hazard is primarily an attacker whereas Carrick likes to stay back and distribute the ball more. Bilbao was extremely effective when pressuring the ball and almost all of United's players struggled when faced with such heavy pressing. Carrick didn't play that bad compared to some of United's other players that struggled under such pressure. I don't think that having Eden Hazard would have won the game for United. At the end of the day, SAF constantly gets criticized for whatever personnel decisions he does or doesn't make. But somehow United always manage to bundle their way to the top or close to the top of the table year after year which is serious cause for jealousy (on any other team's part). | ||

As for City, i have said it all season to people in England, Mancini hasn't got a clue tactically at times, from his substitutions he made last season and early on this season he plays a complete random team and he has issues with stubborn'ness like AVB had, he is right the players are wrong. They were never going to win that comeptition vs a half decent team who turn up to play and give them a game thus Sporting did and punished them. Also compare Chelsea performance to that of Man utd and Man city and you see the difference? Chelsea are 5th man utd and man city are 1st and 2nd. Draw for Champions league last 8 and semi final is @ 11:45 CET (10:45 GMT) 7:45 EDT 19:45 KST on the UEFA website you can normally watch but i will be happy to post stream links if anyone cant find it. | ||
