Another Black Eye player exhibition where Snake Eyez is taking on Nemo and Eita... and someone else, I believe (discovered it was Machaboo, a Fei Long player I'm not familiar with). Just finished a ft10 with Nemo, and before that he played a ft10 with Eita. Back to Eita currently. | ||

Apparently they played a few ft5's and Snake Eyez 5-0'd Eita last, so this is a runback...? Man I should pay attention to the chat more. Updated the OP for October, added a bunch of events to the calendar (November and December updates coming soon™) and updated links to various things. Tonight or tomorrow morning I'll make some tournament posts -- Red Fight District (CPT) in Amsterdam is happening this weekend, and supposedly so is Ze Fighting Game Champion (CPT Asia) in China. The latter has almost no information available as of writing, but their website still has a tiny mention of the qualifier and claims this weekend as the date. I'll go digging tonight when I'm free. Snake Eyez (best Gief outside Japan and self-proclaimed world's strongest Gief) is going up against Hegejin (Japan's best Gief) in about 2 hours. Apparently Santarouman (Japan's top-tier Sagat) and Dashio (Seth, Tokyo game show's winner) will also be present. | ||

I think Snake Eyez style of play fits well in the gief mirror. The japanese giefs are really good but they play how you'd think a gief would play, trying to get in and using command grabs, Snake Eyez however plays a much more conservative gief. Excerpt from the red bull article: “I started off trying to command grab everyone and then I figured out ways to beat people without command grabs. They’re so afraid of the grabs that they get hit with everything else. When you figure that stuff out, it becomes a lot easier to beat people.” I'm looking forward to this match. It will be interesting to see how both players approach this. | ||
