It looked like some SC2 pro taking on bronze leaguers. He was just wiping the floor with people. His play makes me wanna play Seth lol.

The perfect is still really impressive but makoto does a ton of damage/stun and seth has the lowest health in the game.

EDIT: I've been watching more of the VODs. There are not enough synonyms for the word "bad' in the English language to describe the terrible commentating.

Straight from Koogy's FB: "Latif has been a close friend of mine since the first time I ever played him in Guilty Gear (back in '07!), and having him rep our name has been an amazing experience. I wanted to help him get to events easier, and if something better came up, I told him to grab it. Well, the time is upon us... I wish him nothing but the best of luck with his new sponsorship, and hope you guys keep cheering for him! I know I will!" As of right now i could only think of Complexity and EG as possible sponsors that could have upped Brokentier. Hori has been pretty meh for forever and Madcatz just has too much on its plate right now. I doubt other small time sponsors like Fingercramp or BLG (or EMP LOL) could have beaten Brokentier and it doesn't seem like they want to expand their fighting games division anyhow. Crossing fingers for Col.CC Latif. They need a SF player that actually plays a high tier @@

Poongko is pretty sick. Played 10 hours straight on the first day. Everyone was challenging him of course.

Apparently he was never really contracted by brokentier either, just an informal agreement to help Latif get out to tournaments. Yipes and clock and contracted, so don't worry about them. It was actually really cool to hear him talk about why he sponsors certain players. Turns out his goal was to reward people who've been a big part of the scene for so long, which is why he's sponsoring such old school players even though they're not necessarily the best right now.

(Though with what they're showing off, it really doesn't seem like they would, especially with last year) But the fighting game scene always seems to live up to its hype, so I'm excited. :D
