I don't know why I'm bothering but: honestly, why all the disrespect and petty bickering? Whether you love Starcraft or Street Fighter, or both, this weekend has been amazing. There was something for everyone and then some. It will benefit you to not sully your memories of such a good weekend with silly unnecessary arguments. Just appreciate that between MLG, GSL, and EVO, we were treated to something really special this weekend.

Enjoy it, don't ruin it for yourselves.

Couldn't of said it better myself. We are all gamers, share the hype.

Oh man, some highlights this event for me without giving much away

#1) Entire Top 32 for AE. Arguably, maybe definitely, the MF'ing best top32 ever. Any of those players could have made top 8. Some epic comebacks/matches include...

+ Show Spoiler +

- Xian vs Shiro
- Juicebox vs CJ Truth
- Mago vs Momochi
- Daigo vs Poongko
- Latif vs Daigo

#2) Evo moment #39 imo
DR Ray vs Mike Ross MvC3
Start around 2:50

#3) DMG PR Rog vs Viscant MvC3
Starts around 8:30

#4) Spark vs Lord Knight BB:CS2
Entire set

#5) Jwong vs Richard Nguyen MvC3
Final Game

#6) Moose vs Richard Nguyen MvC3
Final Game

Wow I felt exactly the opposite and I also rarely play fighting games... I think you have that backwards buddy XD

What? Did you see the PR Rog comeback in MvC3? Top8 MvC and AE where more hype than any SC2 tournament so far, no contest

I wasn't referring to the hype, but as a side note what you said is like another language to me being unfamiliar with fighting games. I don't know what PR Rog, MvC3, MvC, AE are. I guess PR Rog is a player and the rest are games? Evo is the only fighting game I know of because I watched some of it and the hype has reached MLG chat a bit.

Then please don't make posts like "It seems like such a mindless, reactionary game to me and everything is so quick. There's no suspense or anything."

Well from what I've seen this weekend that's my first impression *shrugs*

and you're wrong.

How so?

...Because the game is not mindless and reactionary?

Yo guys. Let's just support each other. Even the casters from Evo and MLG are mentioning each other in their respective streams.

I remember Wheat mentioning Evo multiple times on one of his shows. So as Day9, I remember him saying "Quoting my most favorite caster of all time, shit just got real" or something like that. He was referring to SkiSonic, a fighting game caster.

This, I was harsh on the game knowing little about it, but it certainly does have a great fanbase. That much is obvious.

I think you need to at least know the game of the game in order to judge it.
If some person that has never heard of SC before was watching MLG, they would say the same thing as you.

Dunno how u can hate on SF4...I don't know shit about the players (except like Daigo lol) but I still had a ton of fun watching this. Non stop action from match to match and I like how hype fighting game crowds get lol

Everything you need to know can be found at Shoryuken.com My personal favorite. They have updates everyday from pretty much any fighting game. Forums, cool videos, combo tutorials, matchup knowledge, and just weird glitches people find. Eventhubs.com is also decent, but i make shoryuken a daily visit if not multiple times a day

Shoryuken.com has streams links, news, guides, videos, schedules, and all that fun stuff.

Option-select.com got many good tutorials.

Crosscountertv on youtube post out good stuff as well, and they have that discount code if you want to get a stick.

Once again, people think that fighting games are hitting buttons and "priority systems taking over" when its not.

There is no luck involved in fighting games, there is spacing meter mangement lifebar management footsies and frame data to EVERY SINGLE MOVE that exists in the game.

If you think SF4 is "mindless and reactionary" then you just don't know what you're talking about and therefore you can't even make any of those statements with ANY basis behind them.

pretty much over the course of a month, Latif became the US top dog for SFIV.

lol there's going to be more salt now that he gave up his SBO spot for Mike Ross and Fchamp.
