Dude there is just too much going on this weekend. Blinks stream, MLG arena, AHGL finals, Diablo 3 open beta, and I had plans each night this weekend...

I haven't played on gameshrine so I technically count as a newblood :D. Nah, considering I played in the first TA scrim, as well as a few months of T2 before TA was even in alpha I don't think I count.

There's a volume setting for VGS. Look for Audio under settings.

Classes/roles : Pathfinder is by far my best. Love light defense (although i've heard it's pretty useless in comp play), can do light offense, and like capping. Can do soldier during standoff's or if needed on offense. And can do HoF(doombringer) although i would need to practice it quite a bit.

And the TL.net Tribes team is complete! My IGN Is Symtex, we're trying to get everyone together tonight for meet/greet and practice. We'll definitely need your for capping. We also need to think of a team name.

Don't believe there is a full-fledged unlocking guide, but here are a few suggestions:
a) When you find a class you enjoy, max out its armor and pack first. They typically allow you to perform a bit better.
b) Weapon upgrades usually aren't as important, but some (the +20% damage versus armored targets) can be worth it. The faster reload upgrades are also pretty good.
c) Grenades typically get better upgrades than weapons (increased radius ; additionnal ammo actually important)
d) Almost every class in the game can make good use of the "Potential Energy" perk.
e) As far as unlocking classes, you have to figure out what kind of role you're going to want to fill. But the real advice is this: don't unlock a class because you just got worked by some guy and you figure it's got to be the "pwn class*". In the end, they're all fairly balanced.
f) Tribes 101
*P.S.: Doombringer is the pwn class.

Unlocked Doombringer but I actually didn't like it too much, not sure if I played it correctly though mostly stood at our flag and unleashed chain gun on anyone coming near and tried to get lock ons with the missile launcher when I had spare time. Also tried Sentinel but sniping seemed pretty hard and ineffective for me, did top assists but thats about it.
Still vastly prefer Juggernaut over the other four classes I've tried, probably try to grind 100k xp now to unlock the LMG, hope it's not a disappointment...

It's a blast for me, and I'm not even a fully fledged "skier". No, there's no medic class, your health regenerates after not being in combat for a while, or if you have a certain perk, after you pick up ammo packs (I think)
