Can recommend for any fans of Space Marines. One of the few (only?) games to actually convey the feeling of weight of a armored marine.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Yeah, Space Marine is definitively a very fun game, unless you don't think that smashing Orcs with a Chainsword is fun. Which means that you are probably insane.

It is not the deepest of games, and it has limited replayability. But it does provide a good 8 hours of smashing orcs with a chainsword.

Top notch voice acting, one of the best voiced orcs ever. Even the localization is so good it can be used to spot who is just pretentious when complaining about localization.

Overwatch is $12 on Humble Bundle.
i guess these sales after free weekends weren't making much and they gave up.

After a number of so-so bundles, I'm really happy with this one. Berseria and Little Nightmares looks awesome. That Chef Brigade game should entertain me for a few hours

I kinda get the feeling that the Overwatch offer is to 1) get people addicted to lootboxes and 2) get people on bnet.

So i finished FFX and liked it (thanks for recommendation) then i started FFX-2 and i already know i wont like this game. Spamming buttons and having ot rush things isnt for me. So any more recomandations in Final Fantasy games? Something more resembling FFX than FFX-2.

Same taste as me with those two games. I'd suggest IX, VII and VI in no particular order since they are all great in their own ways. IV is fine too.

Is it the turn based system you really like? beacuse a lot of Squares games rely on a time based battle system more then anything. Trials of cold steel and tails in the sky might be closer to what you want then the other FF games.

Its not that i particularly like FFX system, it more that i dislike FFX-2 system. In a game which isnt designed to be dynamic in the first place i would rather have turns, interactive pause or something else that gurantees i have time to make strategic delibartions. I dont want to be rushed in RPG game.

Hmm maybe FF tactics? Quite a bit of turn based strategy in that, at least until your characters become OP.

Yeah then you're not going to enjoy FF games for the most part. FF RPG's are almost all based on trying to rush you in small ways with a time based system. FFX was a rather odd exception to this. I guess the best I can suggest is Dragon age or pillars based games.

Thanks for answers. Played FF Tactics already (and liked it) also i dont need advice in regards to Western RPGs since i know them pretty well. BUT jRPG is strange unknown land for me and i wonder if there is something there i might enjoy.

Depending on what it is you enjoy about jRPGs, the games from Zeboyd(Cthulhu saves the World, Cosmic Star Heroine etc...) might be interesting to you. They are kind of in the style of nostalgic classic jRPGs. The older ones are also available for less than a buck on almost every sale.

I would still recommend some of the FF games despite most of them having a Real Time based system. I didn’t enjoy FF-X2 either so I don’t actually recall the battle system too well, but in every FF game I have played with a ATB system I never felt rushed.

I would recommend any of the older FF games still and FFXII has held up super well in my opinion. An even considereding buying that game again when it comes out on the switch.

If you like the older style JRPS I would highly recommend Legend of Dragoon. You may want to look at some videos of the battle system though as the combo mechanic may not be to your likening. I found it highly rewarding experience myself despite some of the combos being rather difficult. I just enjoyed the bit of my own skill meshed with typical RPG turn based style combat. Also it is an epic and amazing story, however it is old enough that the graphics may be a detractor.
I can take that responsibility.

I would second the legend of dragoon recommendation. The graphics are pretty dated now though. (I tried replaying it a few years ago, don't remember why I stopped haha)

Since this is the pc games sales thread, are you solely looking at older jrpgs that have been ported to pc and are selling at a discount? Dragon quest 11 just got released but it's a newer game selling at full price. I would recommend the Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel series as well.

On the fence between Valkyria Chronicles 4 or Total War: Warhammer 2.

Loved VC1, but I'm curious about the Total War series, with Warhammer 2 having such rave reviews. Trying to itch my TBS strategy-kick I'm having.

Just bought TWW2 two days ago and am having a real good time with it so far if that helps you.

had to redownload it and reinstall it a second time onto the SSD though, because the load times were unconscionable on the other drive.
