I would say its one of the best puzzle games to come out in over a decade, but that's partially because there are so few puzzle games. Its still well worth your time if you like to think...though I should warn you that a few of the puzzles really require 'out of the box' thinking and good perception skills. But those are only the 'bonus' puzzles

Stuff will likely be cheaper, but maybe only by 5-15% more (e.g. Cities: Skylines might go from 50% off now to 55% at most I bet). Unless you absolutely can't wait, but that wouldn't make sense because anything just released (e.g. Fallout 4) isn't going to immediately go on discount 1.5 months in, and even if it did it would probably be only like 5% off Wonder how this will work for me, cuz I will be in Europe during the month and I heard the conversion from CAD to GBP and EUR is more @$% Shouldn't matter. It goes by whatever your account is registered to. (I have had to "reset" my location to US a few times but I do all my purchases in USD.) It's not what I'm reading from Steam when I did the search, saying something about having to change your region on your account to match the country you're in, and then making a purchase with that country's currency I hope what you're saying is true... hate to miss out on 1-2 things that I've been absolutely waiting a possible steep discount for... though most things going on sale I probably will wait since as most people hoard discounted games as gifts... i'm no different Just keep your address in CA. I originally was going to change my address to match where I live but I wasn't able to use funds I already had in my wallet or my US bank card so I went back to my old address.

On November 26 2015 22:21 ahswtini wrote: 67% off elite: dangerous thoughts? Assuming you like space games: Elite is one of those games that suck you in at the start, and then slowly lets you go. Eventually you will get bored. Eventually. I don't know how long I spent playing it, but I am sure that it was well over 100 hours. If you are curious as to how the game plays I suggest watching a stream (This post is taking me too long to write as is). When you do get bored, it will be because you basically did everything. The game currently is an ocean wide and ankle deep. The expansion should be coming out next month, and will cost $60 USD. It should add more features to the game, and some will carry onto the base game. If you pre-order the expansion, there is a discount for those who own the base game. Which, conveniently, is the same amount of money as the current discounted cost of Elite. So you can technically get both for $60 USD, where you get to try the current game for cheap. Just pay attention as I think the discount goes away sometime around (soon before or after) the release of the expansion. NOTE: The discount is easiest to get when you buy the base game from Frontier Developments store instead of steam. I THINK you have to link your ED steam game to a Frontier account in order to get the discount on the Frontier store. Both Steam and Frontier are selling the game at the same price. With all that being said, Elite is definitely worth it at $15 USD. Just note that the game should be moving over to DX11 and 64-bit within a year, so it may not play nice with all systems soon. EDIT: On November 26 2015 23:00 Narw wrote: Thinking about it too, but i sadly don't have joystick, any thoughts on how is the gameplay with just mouse and keyboard (or ps3 pad if it works there)? I have not played Elite without a joystick, but from what I have read from reddit is that it is perfectly playable. There is a tradeoff of more intuitive flight/manoeuvrability with the joystick versus aiming accuracy of the mouse. PS3 pad might work fine as the game is out for XBox, and thus should have some form of controller support. Elite definitely has control remapping.

the problem is that in a world where metroid exist, why would you want to play a "kinda-metroid-game", unless you played them all

You don't have to worry about the game not being deep, because there's also a new expansion coming up very soon called Horizons allowing you to land on planets and do stuff there. It's like Eve online except with none of the boring hundreds of hours dumped into macro. Above all, what Elite: Dangerous is great at is making you feel like a real spaceship pilot. If that appeals to you, buy this game and the expansion ASAP.
