I really love The Witcher 1 and 2 which are both on sale right now, great stories, very deep single player experiences. Also, i think Far Cry 3 and Mirror's Edge are also awesome, although both are in 1st person. All great choices imo.
I might try The Witcher, I've heard good things about them. I already played FC3 and Mirror's Edge, wasn't a big fan of Far Cry but Mirror's Edge is a solid game :D Ty for your suggestions

Both Witchers, and all Bioshocks are on sale right now, so if you haven't played them already i recommend those. Only if you like RPG's or Shooters of course.

Mass effect? Not sure about not being similar to borderlands since i don't know a thing about it, but when in doubt, mass effect is the answer :p

If you liked the gameplay of Mirror's Edge, you could consider Prince of Persia 2008. Lots of focus on the "free-running" and acrobatics.
For that matter, definitely check out Prince of Persia: Sand of Time, if you haven't played it before.

PoP: Sands of Time is one of my all time favorites! Some of the best level and enemy/combat design of any game in recent memory, i may have to revisit this one, its been a loooooong time.

By the way, one of the games in the first vote is Valdis Story, a game I highly recommend. It's a Metroidvania with a heavy combo-based battle system. There are technically 4 characters to play as, though only 2 are currently released (and the other 2 will be slow to come), and they each have different skill trees and a few different play-styles.
Controls take some practice to get used to, and the difficulty is quite high (but it's mostly skill/pattern based), but if you like Metroidvanias and Devil May Cry-like combat, this game's right up your alley.
(also, I think TB did a review of the game, so you can check that out if you'd like)
Yeah, I voted for the pack with Valdis Story in it because I got it during the winter sale the last day and it knocked me off my feet, I've been telling all my friends to buy it next time it goes on sale, although it would be worth at full price. Its one of the few games I've bought off a sale that I actually played to completion. Best metroidvania game since SotN.

Divinity: Original Sin is on sale, I believe the official release date is June 30th, but you get early access
It has both single and multiplayer options. more info here
I did the kickstarter, but I'm waiting for the final release to play.
If a game has some sort of sale on it it is worth waiting for it to go on a daily or flash deal unless you are very impatient... I wouldn't be surprised for DS2 to go on sale either.

Depends on how important ~$10 is to you.
Yeah id agree with that, since sometimes you might be waiting for a game to go on sale, but it may take a full week before the game you want actually gets onto the daily/flash sales, so its a matter of patience more than anything, and of course if you want to save an extra 5$ to 10$ then you should always wait.

Imo, for 12.50$, it is not worth it. Story/acting is forgettable, and while the combat is pretty good, i think you need be someone who really likes a 3rd person hack-em up. Not a bad game by any means, but i personally do not believe its worth the 12$.

My rule of thumb: Games under $20 wait for at least 75% off unless you absolutely need it now Games over $21 absolutely wait till 80-90% off, can knock extra 5-6 bucks off.
This rule has never failed me, just remember to factor in how long the current sale lasts while waiting to see if it gets a daily or flash deal.
Using this rule i has amassed a library worth ~1900 at current store prices no sale, but only paid ~450-500 in actual money due to sales.

Yeah, it was just okay imo, I got bored with it and didn't finish it, but the combat was very good. Not a bad game by any means, and yeah, if you love 3rd person hack-em ups like God of War than you may even think its a great game.
