But it's always end of june- mid july, never after that. Expect this thread to blow up then! Also check Amazon (You can still get copies of games if you use amazon US in EU, as long as you pick downloadable games), GOG, GMG, etc. All very good websites. Also during the steam sale, never buy unless it's a daily deal, flash deal, or the last day of the sale!

An unfortunately dying mechanic in games, but Rayman Origins and Legends are amazing games (for single player and coop), and should work as long as you have at least one gamepad.

I looked into this a little bit a while back. Lots of turn based games you can play hotseat. Other than that, the only one I remember that was worth it for hotseat was Trine.

I don't believe its on sale, but Cortex Command is a cheap little game that offers local coop. Also local competitive play too. CC is a side-scroller where you build bases, dig for gold, and fight it out trying to protect your brain unit. Seriously, it's literally a brain in a jar, the game is set in the distant future. Everything on the map is destructible, meaning you don't just have to walk into the enemy base, you can tunnel in too. And destroyed vehicles or killed people stay on the map forever or until they're completely pulverized. I've had hallways in my base too full of corpses for the enemy to continue to use that path. Of course, I've also had larger pieces of debris smash into my units and splatter them all over.

I'm talking about stuff like Trine, Guacamelee, Sonic Allstars Racing, Monaco, Dungeon Defenders etc(got those already). Stuff where you plug some gamepads in and go.
