Seriously, you've never seen a game that would be more fun and pleasurable. It's a MMO where almost every single activity is a minigame, from Tetris to Poker. Ship boarding, brawling, sword duels: everything a proper pirate would love to do.

It's free and it's fun. I prefer it to most of the usual flash games or similar stuff.
I've been playing on and off for 5 years. I recently got banned because I was so ridiculous at spades admins thought I was commuting with a friend. Started a new account, I already have a sloop, so if TL wants to sail...
Very good game... I used to play it as well lol. I think it would be awesome if we made a crew called team liquid or liquidia :D Anyone who plays this or would like to join should just write. I'm really good at poker, so I could make enough to support the venture financially (I hope!!)
Main problem with this game is how difficult it is to establish yourself as an important player. It's easy to be good, it's easy to be rich, and it's easy to make friends or a crew, but very few get the opportunity to own a significant piece of the pie. I'm a millionnaire on several accounts because it's the easiest poker table you'll find, but money alone doesnt get you much.

What venture exactly? It takes years for a group of skilled players playing several hours a day to really accomplish anything noteworthy. All the ships and swords on the ocean won't help you without skilled friends and lots of experience.
I think that we could form our own crew, with the most experienced of us as captains, and the less experienced as officers... etc? We can help each other become more experienced.
Edit: I know this may sound really idealistic, but I hope it can happen ^^
I def recall playing this game for hours a day when I was younger lol, but don't you have to pay to pilot a ship/ get higher then the lowest rank in a crew?

as a former #1 in my ocean in spades, i understand your plight.
it is extremely difficult finding a partner at my skill level, never mind opponents that would make the game worth playing. also, everyone loves these 200 point games and are reluctant to play 500 point games, despite them being a better prover of skill
Played this a whole lot. If you guys make a crew on a dubloon ocean, I'm up, and if you pick Sage, I might be able to pull some strings and get back my old ships if my old friends still play. (sloops, war brig, longship, maybe a cutter)
Played for a while on Sage. Its fun, but you REALLY need an active guild to make it worth playing. You basically need 20+ fully active people to make anything noteworthy happen. If you got that, its probably the best fun you can have for free.
I would be interested in playing if you guys form a guild. I used to play, but haven't in a while because I didn't know anyone. It would be really fun to play with TL
Hey, I'm probably going to make my own crew soon. I need a bit more money, so to keep in touch until then, PM me on PP and add me as a hearty (I'm Aiur on Viridian). Crew will probably be made in maybe January or February. I'll make another post in this thread then.
Okay so anyone else in Viridian? Viridian seems like a good ocean, with doubloons and a large population. Can we make this crew like the main TL one? Or any other suggestions?
The only viable options for oceans are Viridian, Sage, Hunter, and Malachite. Any preferences? Personally my favorite is Viridian but I'd be willing to play on any.
