With funding I mean the worth of your equips.
Kind of hard to compare it to WoW, mainly because I only played druid and never cared for any other classes but I would say F/P is big damage every 10 seconds while I/L is consistent damage all the time. Just watch youtube videos to get an impression if you can't decide.

Right going Fire poison after reading around they seem to have a higher skill cap (more fun), I love fire in WoW and they do more dps >:D

for the wow comparison, F/P is frost mage (PVP) (or arcane for raiding), whereas I/L is fire, bursty vs. sustained. Although the raiding ones are hard to compare because they both sutain in different ways
