If you intentionally disrupt this server your actions will be reported to TL staff and action may be taken against your forum account. |
I played on this server before, And it was the best one i'd ever been on! But when the update kicked in, I didn't want to downgrade my client, So i started shipping around for a new brilliant server. I tried loads (one i actually found a completely uninhabited island on But it was boring and lonely there) So one download later and i have returned to what is now my default server to play on! I don't care about other servers! As long as i have MC TL I'm happy! Congratulations on making such a brilliant server!
P.s Visit my shop in magel (just in front of spawn, Follow the redstone trail) if you need some more items! (Shamless promoting FTW!)

The first four shots were taken with a custom painterly pack. The last three were with a Zelda pack. When I get time I think I'm going to mix them together because I like some elements from both. Namely I like trees and enemies from the Zelda pack.

Fixed! Sorry, I haven't really gone through donations in about a week since I've been really sick + really busy. Figured you guys could wait until 1.2 server :x

Cool thanks, so 1.2 is coming soon? Can't wait, I should start collecting wool again lol.

I'm building on the islands south of maleg spawn
|
I think I'm done until the server is updated... I have a great idea of what I want to make after the update .
|
What could people possibly do at patch 1.2
btw I donated 99 cents a while ago I'M SUCH A GOOD PERSON
|
Working on 1.2 but still having some major issues... namely the zoning.
The creator of the zoning plugin that we use said nearly three weeks ago that he was almost finished porting it over to the new mod system. He hasn't been seen or heard from since. So, I'm probably going to have to use a different plugin with similar functionality... which will involve me manually redoing all the zones again, and will take some time.
On the bright side, I'll open the Nether when 1.2 comes up.

I've never played on a big server before, what is done to prevent griefing?
like people destroying other people's buildings and such.
Other than that it looks really fun, kinda like a very freeform MMO

We run various moderation plugins that do everything from record every single click you make in the game to simply allowing us to teleport to a player or location. We can also completely undo every action ever made by a player who gets banned, or roll back specific areas if the griefing is minor.

There's no...grief prevention, kinda.
Like..
Schmuck takes an hour of time destroying your house. Like...lava everywhere, blocks destroyed, giant pillars of stone and dirt mangling your perfect landscape
Poor little Vysen says "oh my goodness, I've been griefed" and one of your resident banlings / admins will report to those higher up on the food chain. Torenhire appears and lets you know he is on the job
Meanwhile, in the bat cave....
"Come in."
Torenhire shuffles meekly into the dark room before him. It was a bizarre room, dimly lit with small, pixelated torches around its perimeter, and he had to squint to see. It made him wonder if it was lit enough to stop the zombies and creepers from spawning...was He afraid of creepers? Torenhire dismissed a passing thought that He might be the one creepers were afraid of. He punched a small, smooth button on the wall, which opened up the Iron door in front of him with a satisfying "cla-clack!" The door promptly slammed in his face, producing a grunt and a few more tries before finally making it through the door that seemed to have a mind of its own.
Shuffling forward, he began to make out solid blocks of diamond and gold stashed away in corners of the room. The cloth blocks below his feet squishing in an odd way as he made his way closer to the wooden table before him. He quickly understood why the room had such a creepy feel to it, as the parts of the floor that were not small cloth squares were actually built out of the smooth, purple sheen of Obsidian, reflecting the torches in eerie ways about the room. Torenhire didn't want to imaging how much mining had to be done to get this much Obsidian...he also didn't want to think about how much time it would take him to dig his way out if there was trouble - certainly too long to escape.
He approached the table, meekly peering at the man hunched over in the stone stairs...or was it a stone chair? It had two blank signs on either side of it, so it must be a chair. Rather uncomfortable, cobblestone wasn't exactly the most elegant or comforting surface, but...to live in a place like this, comfort seemed a luxury that was often overlooked. He was sitting before a strange, too-black man hunched over like he had to take a rather large poop. Every time he spoke, he seemed to un-crouch...it didn't make much sense.
"Sit."
Torenhire quickly held shift and hunched over in a wooden staircase...or I guess a wooden chair, the signs, after all...
"Sir...um...Master...Serejai.. it appears we've had...another....griefing..."
"WHAT!"
Torenhire jumped as he watched Serejai smash the table surface with a diamond axe, the wooden surface shattering in a perfect 1x1 square piece, sending the block scattering across the floor. A small...penguin of sorts came and picked up the wooden block and popped it back into place, and scurried it off.
"I'm sorry, master! I didn't mean to disturb you, and I tried to find the culprit but I don't have...your powers. I did what I could, I even told the guy not to worry! Please help!"
Serejai uncrouched and paced across the room.
"How bad?"
"It seemed...fairly bad, master.."
"We shall go and see..."
Torenhire swallowed hard as he instantly found himself at the scene of the crime, a small sign planted in the dirt that simply said "Vysen's House!" He took a look at the scene of the crime. Torenhire's heart pounded against his chest as Serejai surveyed the scene. He hoped this was bad enough of a grief to warrant such actions, he didn't want to know what happened to those who whined or begged for help instead of taking five minutes to undo the grief.
"FETID. How dare you present THIS to me! FOUL! They hide their finest grief. PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THE SUBJUGATION!!!"
Schmuck has been banned from the server
Torenhire immediately felt immense power drawing into his master, it seemed all of the powers of Notch and Minecraftia surged and willed itself to Serejai's call, and in less than a few seconds, the building and surrounding area were perfectly restored to original condition. With a grunt of disapproval, Serejai teleported off to his magic lair once again, leaving Torenhire behind to greet Vysen on his return.
And Vysen was happy.
The end.

Double post, Serejai way to ruin my awesome story with your...logical and non-interesting post.
|
|
Hahaha, F you Serejai.
Last time I write a story about you! I quit!
|
haha nice narrative!
I hopped on today and sent a PM to Minecraft on the forums for more access.
The server is pretty sweet, minus the black screens of death I keep getting.
I haven't figured out how to teleport to the other islands yet though =(
