However, me and you both know that in a month tops, the classic servers will be empty aside from three or four groups playing in private games. Literally, any wanting to roll another character, or socialize is futile... basically, give it a couple weeks and you are playing by yourself! If i wanted to play by myself, i would just play single player. Even if i am wrong, and the East server still has a following, the later grind of classic laddering revolves around three skills, and three skills only: BO, Teleport, and Hammers. I understand your disdain for LoD, i used to think it was stupid myself. Hell, i still do think that many runewords are stupidly powerful and pretty much control the game (not to mention trivialize rare drops and take away the system in classic where everyone literally has much different armor), but personally i would rather it was gear that did it than just one class in general. I'd argue that it is easily possible for all classes to solo hell, it is just that the Hammerdin is just so much better than every other class without the nerf that LoD gives Blessed Hammers. Hell, i have cleared hell with all classes PERSONALLY, but that doesn't mean that they are all just as optimal as a good Din. Coming from an experienced D2 player having had several top five ladder characters over the last five or six years, i think all classes have things to bring to the table. For example, i think Barbs have the best crowd control in the game with spells like Howl, Taunt, War Cry, not to mention the best buffs in the game hands down in Battle orders/command and shout. The Amazon has equally good utility with things like slow missles, Decoy, and Valkyrie. You have already talked about the kind of fun that can be had with a decent necromancer, but the thing is they just are not anywhere near as good. As much as i don't like some of the changes in LoD (Runewords and charms come to mind...) it has a ton of features that are just necessary once you have played with them... like the expanded stash, better hirelings, jewels, class specific gear, and alternate weapons setups. And, an important part for me having played D2 for a damn long time, it is just different. I don't know all the ins and outs of LoD like i do classic, but i do know that in the one season i participated in the LoD ladder i had a ton of fun with the new act and gear as well as the increased amount of players and plain out viability of every class. The current Nightmare/Hell were designed for LoD characters to clear, and therefor it simply much more balanced endgame than classic is. Period. TL;DR: I want to play with people, and i am interested in exploring new possible builds with LoD skill changes and gear. So, at this time i will not be playing classic with you Priph. | ||

@iCanada actually you are dead wrong. There is going to be more than a couple groups of people and ill never be alone dude. I know a shit load of people ready to rip classic a new asshole so just stop the nay saying. Its going down on Classic, LoD is unbalanced and sucks for people who like to be legit and play untwinked because of the botters and such that dont exist in classic because the community of players are so much more down to earth and mature cool people. Also its so sweet because i love how rares are the best items in the game. So flippin sweet! Cant wait to see you at the channel tonight Cloud! Man i remember a BlueLaguna I used to play with on classic im pretty sure. maybe it was xpac. lol it must've been you then too! Small world dude! Awesomely excited!
