I'm glad there's a deck for Crusader though, he's been relatively marginal in the past.

I'm not going to argue since I've been drinking, I completely agree that marrow shards might be the right choice. But the deck has issues with inkmoth and turn 1 Stromkirk that's why I ran it.

Problem is you end up losing too much life against someone who was not playing infect, which was the majority of the people. I know. That's why I said everyone will go BACK to playing MD dismembers. And they will if infect becomes very popular. It'll make it hard for infect to become a top deck. It's just well positioned atm.

How exactly do you deal with a crusader with a feast and famine?

Yeah blue would still get through. Lets fix that by strapping on a body and mind to him.

But for the sake of argument, you've got Day of Judgement, Black Sun's Zenith, Garruk Wolves, GftT, Dismember(obviously not format defining...) and Edicts. Not awful. Infect Blade sounds like it could be cool though. People have tried it before, no?

No idea if anyone tried it yet. It would definitely kill faster than hexblade but I don't know if it would be too easy to stop or not.

Sure, I know it's silly, but it's you can come up with some pretty neat ideas by thinking about the obvious. I feel like any kind of "Infect-Blade" would have to be in something of a controlly shell, not a desperate race to 10 Poison. If you play it like that Mirran Crusader+Angelic Destiny deck, you're just trying to live the dream too much.

The first deck had 10 pieces of removal in it (off the top of my head: 1 into the maw, 1 Slayer of the Wicked, 2 Geistflame, 2 Fiend Hunter, 2 Bonds of Faith, 1 Rolling Tremblor, 1 Blasphemous Act), was quite insane. Also, the Olivia Commander deck worked out well. I had one turn in the game where I controlled all 3 commanders (Olivia, Sisay, and Grand Arbiter). It was just so much fun, although it did get locked out by decks that had access to a bunch of old cards I'd never heard of.

You just have to guard your blades and your creatures too heavily for it not to be control.

The old Darkblade decks was good for one reason, access to Inquisition and Tarpit against the Caw-Blade-Jace sea. The old Darkblade decks were abandoned because the mana base was fucking awful which it still is, if not worse. Thirdly, Caw-Blade at that point wasn't even a control deck any more.

I probably should have just said it would be WUB colored control. It made sense to me yesterday when I posted (it was 5am at night). I can't recall why I wanted to include white right now...
