It's a really, really weak set in comparison to most other recent ones.

This set has much more narrow ones and I'm stretching it by even saying 3 cards would see lots of play outside Standard. Or you could go back to Alara where each set had a ton of cards like that <_<

With the size of the cardpool for these formats, you aren't going to get more than maybe 3 cards from a set that might have an impact on these formats.

The power in the cards from Lorriwyn, Alara, and Zendicar were much higher than that of the cards coming to us in Innistrad. Snapcaster mage will be played in all kinds of blue decks. THE THING IS CRYPTICS 5-8 FOR 2 MORE MANA. Of course it will be played. I'm playing 2 in my GPT deck with stoneforges. New extended sure, Modern? Not so much outside of...a few from each set. Also, you aren't playing Stoneforges...unless you want to get clowned.

From the entire block, I can only think of elspeth, nacatl, and cascade cards, but cascade is just broken. Qasali Pridemage, Noble Heirarch, Elspeth, Wild Nacatl, Bloodbraid Elf, Path to Exile, Relic of Progenitus, Maelstrom Pulse, Knight of the Reliquary, Ad Nauseum, Ethersworn Canonist, Cascade cards (like Bloodbraid Elf), Sphinx of the Steel Wind, Magister Sphinx, Cruel Ultimatum, Ranger of Eos, Progenitus.... So yeah, just a few. Legacy Zoo always plays Path over Swords
