I don't get why people are so certain GW2 is this messiah game. It's just hype until you have played it.
I liked GW, and I am looking forward to GW2 but I don't really believe they can deliver an MMO experience just running on box sales. It's either going to be more like GW1 than people want to accept or it is going to be very aggressive in cash shop / adding DLC that you have to pay for. Those are the only ways I see it really working out.
People are really eager to believe the hype though. I guess that's the story with every big MMO. It's the best thing ever and going to do everything right. And then you actually play it.
If they have beta weekends like they did for GW1 and i like it I'll buy it, but I am almost certain it will become a more costly game to play than most people think in the same way almost all "free to play" games are.

Ummm I got a beta key and I put it into my account but I think I did it incorrectly because I got a dl link from someone and downloaded it from there and then I filled out the information for the beta and now I'm getting an error (error #2002) when I try to log in and download the game. My friend said I need to agree to some EULA but I can't figure out where or how to do that... anyone help me out?

You can only play during the beta events; its not up all the time. Next event starts on the 25th at 10pm Pacific.

I'm not sure what you mean because in your first post you said you downloaded the client. Idk what you did and didn't do but go to https://account.RIFTgame.com and agree to EULA/download client. That's all it should take.

Errr I downloaded a "patcher" which I thought was more like a downloader for the game. When I log into the website it says "You have not yet been invited to a beta event." even though I put in a beta key in my account. An above poster said the client was around 8 gigs but mine was only 18 mb so something is up :\

Tera is an Action MMORPG and looks much better and fun than this.
