Our most recent tournament – the Ural Steel Championship - is fast approaching its Grand Finale. Over 10,000 players have taken part in the tournament on our US, European and Russian servers in nearly 650 teams. We are cutting down the number of active players on a team to 10 to leave more room for substitutes. Winners of the semifinals from the three servers will meet mid-June in Moscow to fight in the gladiatorial pit. These six winning teams will meet and fight for the right to claim the title of Ural Steel Champion. In addition to the title, the winners will be rewarded with powerful HP gaming laptops. The runners-up will receive Asus netbooks for their dedication and performance. Those who –are left will receive 10-inch Archos tablets. Another tournament was also organized recently for dedicated tankers. The Drill, which took place in May, included about 6000 players on the European and US servers. They formed almost 300 teams. In a tough final match, the German team Panzerknacker won over the Polish team 1stPAD - 4Fun Team. Each player of the winning team was rewarded with 15,000 in-game Gold. Each 4Fun Team member received 7,500 in-game Gold and the runners-up – the Poles from Pirates "Francis Drake" – received 5,000 Gold. And this is just the beginning of the tournaments for World of Tanks! Keep watching our website for news about more Cyber-Sports to follow.

![]() ![]() M46 Patton is going to replace M26 Pershing as tier 9 US medium tank and will be introduced in 6.5 update which is scheduled for end of June - July 2011. Players who have a M26 Pershing in their garage at the time of the revision will have it replaced with a M46 Patton, with the respective module setup (possibly with some renaming) keeping their progress and old crew. The E-50 Standardpanzer was intended as a standard medium tank, replacing the Panther and Tiger I and the conversions based on these tanks. The E-50 hull was to be longer than the Panther, in fact it was practically identical to the King Tiger in overall dimensions except for the glacis plate layout. Compared to these earlier designs however, the amount of drilling and machining involved in producing these 'standardpanzers' was reduced drastically, which would have made them quicker, easier and cheaper to produce, as would the proposed conical spring system, replacing their predecessors' complex and costly dual torsion bar system. As indicated by its name, the weight of the E-50 would fall between 50 and 75 tonnes. It's maximum speed was planned as 60 km/h.

From what I understand they might add the E50 as early as 6.6 as well though, as the new tier9 medium (Panther 1 gonna move to tier 7). The E75 is sexy as hell though :D (i'm a KT and Panther fan lol)
