Oh well maybe we can concentrate on PL more. Unlucky? They had a 75% chance of being the underdog, Real, Barca and Bayern are stronger than Arsenal is. Happens when you suck in the group stage and place second in such an easy group. Arsenal would have been the perfect draw for Bayern Ok I had to comment on this one, Real stronger then Arsenal? Ok fair. Barca stronger than Arsenal? Of course. Bayern stronger than Arsenal? Uhh no. Sitting in 5th in the Bundesliga and struggling with a buttery defense = not on the same level. Arsenal would dominate. Yes we are unlucky. Though maybe we could do some magic, with Vermaelen and Cesc healthy we would at least put up a decent fight. Arsenal is always a difficult team to play, especially at Anfield. That being said, Bayern would still win. It's a shame they don't play at Anfield more often then, they might win a bit more.
quarky trying really hard to represent the typical Bayern Munich theatre crowd follower whoms champagne business sessions in the stadium get interupted by that damn football match going on

what the fuck was i doing in my life Yup! Ray Hudson is by far my favorite commentator. You can clearly tell he has a true passion for football aside from he's well known for , which is his analogies and metaphors describing football. Love him.

Arsenal would dominate. Yes we are unlucky. Though maybe we could do some magic, with Vermaelen and Cesc healthy we would at least put up a decent fight. Bayern had a really tough start due to injuries, motivational problems and overplayed players(many of their players played CL-final, all games possible at the World Cup, Bundesliga and DFB-Cup, which means a LOT of games and less preparation pre-season). They are getting better and better, the important players will be fit again in February, they will be/are active on the transfermarket now and as soon as the ro16 starts they will be a different team.
German teams have the advantage of a long winterbreak, plenty of time to train and improve. Pretty standard here that underperforming teams show a completely different face and start to shine after the break.
You should never ever underestimate Bayern, especially their insane midfield(Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Ribery, Müller, Robben=<3), except when you're from Italy :p

Spain had by far the best team and still managed to lose their first game to Switzerland. They won most of their games in dull 1-0s. How you could possibly say that is deserving of coach of the year over Mourinho's unlikely CL and SerieA win is beyond me.

"Mourinho said: "If the winner is Andres Iniesta, who unhappily was not able to play for the first five months of the year because of injury, but after that played six matches and scored a goal in South Africa, then anything can happen in the year of a World Cup final and the rest counts for nothing."
yep. I don't think sneijder should win as I think messi was by far the best player.. but iniesta most certainly shouldn't.. and there's absolutely no question about mourinho deserving the coach of the year award, last season nobody was close.

gentlemen, these things are usually all about politics and popularity. Jose Murinho might be the best but he's neither the political nor popular choice. Why? 'Coz he's good, he knows he's good and other managers are jealous as hell.

With great fans, anything can happen!

That's true, and it's pretty much the argument we're hanging on to, Ståle solbakken should have some way to encounter Chelseas stretegy and playstyle as when we played against almighty Barcelona, and we actually managed to excute that very well (: So yeah anything can happen in football, as long as the ball is round as we say here

fc copenhagen has never had a better chance to beat chelsea through the history of football. their season so far has probably been the best ever by any nordic team (with the possible exception of rosenborg in 97 or 99 ) and chelsea is in a serious slump. (losing 0-3 vs arsenal as I'm writing this) at this point, I wouldn't even be all that shocked if chelsea got knocked out. like, it'd still be a huge upset, but it'd be one of those "predictable upsets".

Arsenal 3 - 1 Chelsea

That's true but something even more significant is that arsenal TOOK their chances and scored. I felt that at the end, the ref was trying very hard to give chelsea dodgy free kicks.
I'm happy that those 11 started, and DJOUROU was a BEAST vs drogba, he followed him everywhere. Great work by him.
Let's not forget Van Persie who was outstanding! I loved him :D
