Sneijder was an integral part of his team. Barcelona cope quite fine without messi, xavi or iniesta. But then again, I don't care about the d'Or because the criteria for winning such awards is blurry.
In a World Cup year, it gets a bit clearer. Somebody from Spain will win it bc they won the World Cup. Thus my vote goes to Xavi.

I think they often go too far with the whole ''This guy was in a winning team, therefore he should get the INDIVIDUAL award''-concept.

i agree. the best player last season was messi, even taking the wc into account, and he should get the prize :[

Messi didn't even do badly in the WC, he was just good instead of amazing. People put way too much weight on goalscoring for him when it's hardly all he does.

Wish Fabianski was healthy, I've actually been impressed with his play. Though why not start Almunia over this kid? Only time I've seen him play was in the Carling cup i believe and he didn't even get tested.
Have a bad feeling about this. Our offensive is going to have to be very dominant if we want to win this I think, cause our back line is even weaker now. Its ok tho cause we got Nasri!
