People who keep asking for Wenger to leave are just morons. Our beloved gunners would of probably been out of the top four a long time ago if it was not for him. However, the clock is starting to tick on him. If he does not win something next year I think his job will be in danger, especially if he actually starts to spend and they still lose out on everything.

Arsenal have been able to build a new, state-of-the-art stadium which was needed - t'old one was just that; old, and it was holding back their potential revenues. Arsenal are not quite debt free, but are doing better than any other team in Britain on that score, and their revenues are extremely high. Despite this new investment and one of the lowest spending budgets in the top half of the Premiership they have managed to get a team that is almost complete and continues to challenge for the top accolades. It's perhaps a sign of how well Wenger did before that Arsenal fans have such high expectations - despite low spending they are still a top four side, reach the finals of major trophies and do well in Europe every season. Still it would be great if just once he got out the chequebook and was willing to overhaul the team. My friend and I were talking about it - we would like to see the back of Rosicky, Eboue, Squillaci and Denilson, possibly Bendtner too. Almunia apparently can't cut it, and Fabianski isn't exactly the solid keeper that everyone would like as a number two (heh). As for purchases, we came up with (maybe) Micah Richards, Cahill from Bolton, van der Wiel, Hazard, potentially Sakho and although I doubt we'd get him, Lukaku, and, for me, I would like to see Sorenson as backup for Sczscesny and Parker as someone who can cyle in the midfield - Song needs backup, if he's not fit they have nothing to replace him with, and parker can do this role (see England vs Wales) but also play further forward. Add to this he is a strong character, which has been a bit lacking since Newcastle and the Cup Final. But then I just like Parker ![]()

I am sure the idea of replace wenger has appeared to the arsenal board, but it boils down to 'who is the replacement'

I agree that he needs to win something, and Arsenal could have some major signings. I think what they might be lacking is a big centerforward with handling skills (a la Bergkamp), a Vieira-like defensive midfielder and of course, a decent GK.

It is incredible how he gets other technically bad players such as Bendtner and makes them play at a higher potential and also makes them worth a lot more than they really are when they are eventually sold. That's some incredibly desperate praise for a manager who has been terrible for like 5 years now while in charge of a team that's definitely capable of winning silverware.

I think the truth lies somewhere in between. Yes Wenger has done well to find great young players and get them to their potential. But that isn't to say some-one else couldn't have done better. Wenger has weaknesses too and maybe his time has past.

Im sorry but Wenger's youth program is hardly as godly as everyone makes out, this is displayed by his lack of trophies. Arsenal have invested so much into their youth program and fabragas was the only world class talent to come out of it in recent years, hardly an incredible success when you look at other clubs like Manchester and barca and who has also come out of their youth programs. I think fergie has got what Wenger needs, which is the ability to actually win stuff with youth as well as the talent to pick them out and mature them. I think he would do well to make some buys over the summer, especially in defense and up front.

Fergie has used his clubs wallet to buy world class players which make up his whole team: Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, Tevez, Van Nistelrooy Wenger produced world class players, you guys have a real short memory: Fabregas, Nasri, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Ljunberg.... All of those were nobodies until Arsene Wenger made them into the fantastic player they are/became. Lasting quality is something you dont find around the corner and many of you Arsenal fans who cry for his head will in a few years ask yourselves what have you really done.

For as much as Wenger's ability to produce fantastic players out of young talent is lauded, it's curious then how Arsenal only have three decent players in the entire team.

It's not just 3 decent players, they're their best 3 players, cause Arsenal has quite a good line-up overall, the players are just not that known cause in their world teams their not the main stars like how Fabragas and van Persie.
