Buy it off the battle.net website and you can pre-download the game.

You can already download the client, game or no game, from battle.net.

Where do you download the client if you don't have a copy of the game? I can't link a CE until it arrives and it'd be nice to pre-download.

I just had a small question concerning Demon Hunter's companion skill~ Nowhere on the skill's description does it mention a timer, so is it safe to assume that they last forever? Only the wolf companion seems to have a timer of 40secs, according to the rune's description. Also, judging from this 16secs clip:
it doesn't seem like they can pull aggro either and I cannot tell if they have health bars... so will it just be a skill that you can activate from the skill tree and have your 4th skill slot filled with something else you'll actually be using constantly?

It probably doesn't have a timer, but I very seriously doubt you can have it out and not on your skill bar. That is pretty much against everything in terms of "builds" Blizzard has developed for this game. In beta, you couldn't activate any skill from the skill "tree" (it isn't really a tree anymore), so I wouldn't expect that.
So, no, it probably doesn't have a timer (except for the wolf), but it will almost definitely occupy a slot on your skill bar if you want to have it out. It is still good for not demanding much in terms of resources (a one-time cast of discipline isn't very much).

thanks
dude, i dont know if u know it but there was a blue post + twitter + news
ONLY IMPORTANT IF U WANT TO PLAY AT MIDNIGHT
u HAVE to use the USA client if ur in the USA otherwise u cant log in when it goes live at ur time because global play will be activated AFTER the USA launch
there is no way that u can bypass the waiting time using the EU client, because of this and ur account is USA based
I don't think it matters what client you have... its just what region your battle.net account is tied to, at least that's what it seems like from the blue posts: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4917621943#1

@Bashiok I downloaded the UK version of the game by mistake. Will I be able to login to my US account using it or do I need the US client? Details
Bashiok Bashiok @Bashiok
@TamerleeZ Global Play will be disabled until after US launch, so I don't think you'll be able to connect. Best to get the correct one.
You're calling me stupid yet you can't comprehend basic sentences.
In Bashiok's twitter reply which was a week ago, he gives a response with uncertainty. On the official forums which was a day ago, he mentions that it's account based and absolutely nothing about downloading a region based client.
