Awww I feel so ignored. I other news I just noticed my KDA ratio with Veigar in ranked is 10.5:1, which is over twice as good as my second-best. Hmm maybe I should finish that caster page soon... But I first need to save IP for Ezreal and Olaf and Garen and runes... I'm starting to consider just buying some RP -_-

So my new opinion of the metagame is that Amumu is Gamebreakingly Overpowered. Also Garen because he's just a giant jerkass.

Late to the party, but I think people really overestimate how many people were/are at ELO cap. It was significantly less than 100 players if 2310 made the cut for top 100 (ELO follows a logarithmic distribution).

Amumu really is super broken X_x Back when people laned with him and hence got 0 farm he was considered almost UP but after people realized jungling is amazing, he's soo good. His lategame is absolutely monstrous, and having him in your team makes you turn even losing games around without getting fed.
Ezreal is kind of a different kind of imba, he's incredibly easy to get fed with and then just snowballs out of control. Very similar to Katarina, but I'd say that Ezreal is still a lot better.

My unranked elo was 2374 after an Akali loss screwing around with Baikin. If 2400 was actually the cap I'm fairly certain I was close to it.

Just to be clear, prior to finding out that my unranked was absurdly high (and most notably before finding out that you were 2200) all I had was a guess that I was "relatively high-ranked" because I was running into namedrops every day. Thus before I found out Pokey was being sarcastic, when he insinuated no TL players were in the top 500 I was like *shrugs* okay, sure. Thus my posts back when that happened saying I could see how that happened, because players like bigfatjiji were a step higher.
Obviously now that I've seen my ranked rank and my unranked elo I'm more confident saying "I beloooooooong!" at the top echelon, at least in solo queue (my 5v5 sucks ass, and my 3v3 is like 800 elo level LOL).

A long time ago last whisper used to affect towers, and then it was changed so that it didn't. As for if it was changed again with all these changes to armor pen and stuff, I dunno.
I would search for a source if I could, but searching is still down on the forums.

my unraked elo seems to float between 2000-2100, not sure where u got 2200 from. I am likely outside of the top 500, but I feel like I can hold my own against the top tier players.

^ you're definitely legit. Back in my panth glory days I remember having to play vs. your trist mid and it was probably the toughest Trist I'd had to play.
I think I was a little over 2200, but at the start of Season 1 I tried to make Panth work in normal games and lost a bunch lol.

Granted the numbers surely inflated over time, but the 'old' public top500's had people in the high 1700s, I highly doubt they inflated enough that anything 2k+ was left out.

1950 seems to be the rough cut off for the top 1500. I doubt 2k would be top 500.
