If he continues this high level of play for 3-4 more years He'll probably over take Magic, and sit just behind Jordan

what? Due to aspects out of his control, Magic had 11 ridiculous years, but his career was cut short. If Kobe can keep up a high level of play into his mid to late 30's, that counts for something

Second-best guard ever, passing Magic and just behind Jordan? He's already top ten IMO, a championship will put him on the short list with Russel, Magic and Jordan - because it will finally prove that he is not just a brilliant player but also a brilliant leader, something that is a given with those guys.

Only aspect I'm looking forward to is seeing if the Lakers can take revenge on Boston for the beat down they took the last time they met in the finals. In the aspect of high caliber games it's going to be much better than last year, but I really don't care for either team. Only reason I want LA to win is to build up Kobe's legacy more. Uh it's a Lakers vs Celtics finals. How can you not be excited if you're a basketball fan?

I don't think he would've kept going that much longer anyways. Can't agree with that. He was still going strong in his last campaign, and would have just moved up to the 4 permanently if his mobility was really hindered. The Lakers probably wouldn't have won another title anyway, but Magic would have ended up with insane aggregate numbers if not for the early retirement.
