Of course its messed up... I played a game and they were all lvl 25+ and my team was all lvl 15- cept me who was lvl 20... even with a leaver they still owned so badly >.>

Since funds on Twisted Treeline are more limited, I've been thinking of a Mundo item build to use there, and was wondering if you could give some advice.

I thought I'd either start with a ruby crystal or Doran's Shield, for survivability.
Then, t1 boots and phage, in an order yet to be determined.
T2 boots, type depending on the enemy team composition.
Zeal for AS/crit/movement, to enhance Masochism's effectiveness.
If facing healing reduction/magic, perhaps a spirit visage for the major boost to sadism's effectiveness. Upgrading Phage to Frozen Mallet also seems like a good idea, for increasing the effectiveness of the slow, and of Sadism's burst healing.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Go Dorans and get rid of Phage. It´s theoretically good but Mundo has already cleaver and on TT you are better of securing Lizard. Phage/Frosthammer is only usefull if you can´t hit with cleaver and don´t have the Lizard buff or Speed buff on your Team. Yes it helps but you spend limited funds for an advantage you SHOULD get by other means.
The spirit visage, not only because of the Healing which is great but also the CDR. CDR is great for Mundo but there are only few effective choices for him.
With Shield, Boots(Tier2) and Visage you already have your "core" items. Now Elexiers have priority. Use your Gold to maintain constant red and green, exess Money goes to Zeals/Starks/Aegis/whatever. Elexiers give by far the biggest boost/Gold and the drawback being Temporary is much less of an issue on TT where games are decided by 20 mins.

What Unentschieden said, and for post-Visage items I recommend Zeal, Recurve Bow, or Brutalizer. I try not to build anything that costs more than 1500 gold.
Also, DON'T FORGET WARDS.

I love solomid's approved guides. But so many of them are sooo outdated

Some of them still work though and ofc. strategies (if included) do work

Oh and btw, there are good guides for few chars in this thread as well - go check SouthLight's post on 1. page

my only gripe with matchmaking is that I cant have fun unless some one on the other team is doing the same. If I want to mess around with a weird champ build or something when matchmaking expects me to carry a particular game, we just get destroyed an then you hear the classic "WTF MATCHMAKING SO TERRIBLE" because you throw off the calculations. besides that it works pretty well

btw, DPS VEIGAR Ftw! lol. i actually did well. carry with an AOE stun isnt so bad...
