So, top (in no particular order): Sion, Nidalee, Mundo, Mord, Shaco
For: some combination of map control, durability, CC, and single target burst

Also decent - very unsure on these: Taric, Evelynn, Ryze, Zilean
Either too squishy or slow to be top tier

Bad: late game heroes, anyone that needs lots of farm, strong laners that are only strong because they're good at keeping people at a distance (I'm looking at you, Gangplank and Karthus)

Does TT actually make Tryndamere viable? His ability to walljump plus his early game DPS are attractive.

I personally very much dislike Twisted Treeline. I hate its beginning, I hate the laning phase, I hate the 3v3 team fights and I hate the end of the game.

Summoner's Rift for life! And servers should be up by 7:15 PST, which by Riot Standard Time means 10:15 PM.

Also, I am now a zergling. Mwuahahahah.

Anyone got any ideas on kass builds on TT?

Thinking mejais/sorcboots/catalyst and then if it keeps going either finish RoA or get Sheen then finish RoA.

ummmm, an item that scales for long games doesn't sound like a sound investment to me on TT...

Mmmk, I just figured with the amount of ganking and killing on TT you'd get the 5 charges to make it break even $-AP wise pretty easily and any more is just icing.

Edit: I suppose you could focus more on CD reduction and go Codex?

well, also RoA...

I dunno, DFG seems like a good build to me, but I'm historically terrible with casters in this game.

I was wondering if anyone here had a better build for Twitch on TT. I have basically adopted the same build I use on Summoner's Rift: Doran's Shiend->Malady->BF Sword->IE. I have been doing well 16+ kills but the one thing I have noticed is that I am constantly mana starved. I think that a lot of heroes have this problem on TT and new builds will probably have to incorporate runes with mana regen or chalice somewhere in item build.
Do, or do not. There is no try.

Yeah, lol didn't even think of the RoA >.> Just second nature to build it on him now But I think a cat/codex/sorcboots build could work well, and I haven't ever used DFG but I'll give it a try.

Edit: Didn't know DFG was made from codex, builds looking even better.

I've returned to SR unless I'm forced to TT for whatever reason; I win too often with Malphite on SR.

Basically you never want to get snowball items on TT because the game revolves around a series of 3v3s that end with one team acing the other and having one or two guys left over.

also heavily favors auto-attackers with a speed/liz/damage buff. really no reason to play casters on this map. you can dragon at lvl 4-5 easily when its up. Strongest team ive seen so far was Udyr/Morgana/Jax(or warwick)

cant CC them, cant out DPS them, Cant out CC them. im baffled.

Doran's/LW twitch works fine on TT, though the hero itself isn't really suited at all for that map.

Ezreal is pretty fucking amazing, building him as AD I played him for the first time today and went 6-0 duo queuing with mOeeOm on TT.

I'm thoroughly convinced Warwick/Mundo/X is the absolute best most roflstomp team on TT atm, it's fucking insane. Your Mundo solo anything and just cs defensively with axe until warwick jumps out of the forest and they just right click someone all the way back to the tower. With a ward at lizard/dragon and with mapaware teammates you should have no trouble farming the forest as warwick. Your X can be anything from shaco to nidalee as long as he can solo efficiently and be mapaware enough to wall hop into the mundo lane or jungle as needed.

I'm 100% convinced that Sion is the best champion on TT now, his ult does teamheal, enrage DPS is comparable to Mundo's masochism, and he has a frickin stun and shield. I actually haven't lost a game where a Sion was on my team yet.

Nasus is really good on TT, I've been rushing aegis, starting with a ruby crystal (so good for the early team fights etc. at lizard). I get the gank boots (the +5 out of combat ones) they work so well at letting you zip around the map, you can defend and push anywhere you want. I've yet to come up a stun heavy team though if I do I'll definitely go merc treads. I usually get a sheen after that and by then the game is usually over. After that I'd probably go for a bloodthirster or a IE but whether I get there or not is a whole nother story. All of this of coursed interspersed with a generous helping of wards and elixirs of fortitude. Elixirs are so great on twisted treeline, give you immediate benefits for such a small amount of money, <3.

Just had a premade with a nidalee and a warwick, warwick I think is top tier on TT, but there's other good choices for DPS for sure. I'll see about AP sion or Mundo, they both sound amazing.

Got wrecked hard by BNLFan, HydroBuddah, and a third guy.
They run a Shen, Mundo, Nunu team. So much slow and all three are fairly tanky with some form of hp regen/dmg reduction. Granted I pugged vs their premade but damn they're efficient. Took every lizard and dragon within 30 seconds of spawn.

Twisted Treeline team composition:
You have space for one squishy. The other two more or less need to be MANLY MELEE people (or possibly a strong support hero?). Udyr, Mundo, Sion, Warwick, Nasus, Shen, Mord, Panth, Jax, Poppy, Malphite (apparently, not Malphite) are all good. These guys need to take damage, deal damage, and protect the squishy. Being able to control the jungle is a bonus.
Squishies should provide some combination of map control, single target burst, and heavy CC.
Excellent squishies: Nidalee, Shaco, Zilean
Others that might be good (opinions please!): Morgana, Heimer, Annie

I've been wondering about Heimer on TT. Heimer could completely control the middle, and it's really easy to grenade melees. It would be a lot different from normal Heimer-play, but without Heimer's rockets and turrets hitting creeps he'd be a LOT more effective. Consider on TT that many fights take place in the middle...
Problems with Heimer are primarily centered on his lack of an escape. Flash would be mandatory, thanks to TT's layout. As previously mentioned, grenade is much more effective as CC now and can easily buy time to run. I need to get in some premades and try him out.

I'm curious about how the following heroes work on TT:
Gragas. His booze ability makes him one of the best early game tanks, he can roll barrels through walls all he wants, or he can slam for powerful single target damage and slow. He seems like he would be extremely versatile, but would he be able to bring enough early on to be worthwhile?

Janna.

+ Show Spoiler [my opinion] +
2 modest CCs, speed and a wonderful early game shield. No question that she's good. The question is: could Janna fit in the non-squishy slot? Run a ranged DPS (probably Tristana), Janna, and some really good damage absorber, likely Shen or Mord or Sion. The shield can really keep people alive early, while boosting the damage of whoever.

+ Show Spoiler [Southlight's opinion] +
Janna is also great on TT, as the teamwide movement speed buff, her own extreme mobility, and her power as a DPS/disable shines with the relative lack of anti-shield damage. Her ult is also great for turning fights around if you gather up in the bushes and push the button - your team heals up and they have to come back into the bush to hurt you.

Taric.

+ Show Spoiler [my opinion] +
How useful is support on this map? Taric has the edge over Soraka, I feel, with a single target stun, an armor debuff, and a pretty good heal. His ult is not nearly as good with just three to benefit, though.

+ Show Spoiler [Southlight's opinion] +
Taric is also very good. Lest you forget he's a tank that outputs pretty damn good damage, and comes with a heal.

Soraka.
Soraka would definitely be in the squishy spot, but she'd be excellent at keeping some mana-dependant or shieldy person in the running for ages. Sion? HEAL MANA HEAL SHIELD MANA I KILL YOU ALL. Pantheon? BLOCK HEAL MANA HEAL HEARTSEEKER. Again, however, her ult loses a lot of its punch.

Tryndamere. On one hand, wall-jumping, melee, and normally hampered by incredible vulnerability to CC. On the other hand, late-game, farming oriented, and low survivability before ult.

Nunu. Similarly to Janna, a great early game caster who can provide good CC and survivability. Could Nunu allow space for two squishies with his jungle control, CC, and buff? Also, his ult is useful here.

Singed. I think he needs too much farm to be able to absorb damage, but a master flipper could be extremely effective at isolating one person at a time.

Evelynn.

+ Show Spoiler [my opinion] +
She sucks. I hate her. Glass cannons that need to be really close are terrible, and she needs some farming before she really starts to do damage. But she might have a home on TT. Even a 1 second single target stun that has to be used at the start is good, and a decent armor/MR debuff is nice. She also can gain a big +MS buff after a kill and heal herself if she was the killer.

+ Show Spoiler [Southlight's opinion] +
Evelyn is great on TT. She's without a doubt one of the best early-game heroes, on either map; on SR her viability is destroyed by her lack of late-game prowess, thus, once she falls behind she's down for the count. On TT with Smite she can jungle like a champ, has mobility that overrides warding, and at level 2 is one of the best DPS characters in the game, particularly in a non-creep-assisted fight (ie. at middle, in jungle).

Malphite.

+ Show Spoiler [Southlight's opinion] +
Malphite is terrible on this map. He's a semi-tank that requires items to actually do his worth, requires level 6, and his lone battle use is on a 2-minute cooldown. This can be worked around on SR because most teams struggle to muster a push after you use your ult (but there're plenty of games anyways where you'll gank, kill someone, and they push down after rez ~40 seconds while your ult is on CD for over a minute), but on TT it's like "Hi I used my Ult, time for you to own our face."

Ezreal. No idea how he'd work out, but someone mentioned him as being good.

NOTE: When I say Southlight's opinion, I basically mean "the truth".
