Plus, for some reason he was shooting poorly from the 3 in Italy (20%)... and now he's at 57%. I wonder how long that'll last.
I totally doubted Skiles, I thought a hardass like that wouldn't play Jennings much, but wow.

Whats with all the kobe hate? I dunno prob because he raped some girl and everyone seems to forget that just because he is good and his team is winning.

Plus it wasn't even confirmed. And I hate Kobe Bryant. But that's just low. You have to give the guy his props. He's really fucking good.

And come on you see how much money he spent on that diamond for his wife after all that happened?

People should not be given free passes just because who they are. And come on you see how much money he spent on that diamond for his wife after all that happened? Well, considering this is a forum to talk about basketball, not the personal lives of players, it's pretty appropriate to say "what's with all the kobe hate". I have no comment on his personal life, but he's an amazing basketball player, and he continues to be an amazing player despite whatever it is he did. You don't need to just "forget or forgive" that to be able to praise him for being a gifted athlete. I'm pretty sure he hasn't been given a free pass. He's had to work for the past 5 years to repair his image - he took a lot of shit from a lot of people, and that season he had to actually play and compete while going back and forth to Colorado for his trial. If you think he's gotten a free pass you're just blind. Sure people aren't throwing that around in his face constantly, because they have more decency than to do that. He's clearly paid his dues, moved past it, and has continued with his life. It's the same for most people who commit crimes, they do their time and move on. The only benefit Kobe has is his employment as a basketball player. Sometimes as a person suspected of rape it becomes more difficult to get a job, otherwise... Kobe's no different than anyone else.

"On July 15, three days before Bryant was charged with sexual assault, Faber allegedly bragged about having sex with Bryant at a party, and gave a graphic description of the NBA star's penis. Steve Evancho told NBC News that he was surprised when Faber showed up at his house party. “She was bragging about the whole thing," Evancho said, adding that the woman seemed "happy. She was having fun." And answered a question about his penis “with a gesture and a description."

You're suggesting that people have forgetten something that was never confirmed or established? There's a reason why it's innocent until proven guilty and not the other way around. Your entire argument is based upon you making yourself judge and jury, and the assumption that accusation and suspicion amount to guilt. At least those who are giving Kobe credit for being a great basketball player are basing their opinions on facts, as opposed to mere guesswork on circumstances they have no first-hand (or second-hand) knowledge.

What was disturbing was how he was cheered by all even after cheating on his wife. Like people ignored the fact that he cheated on her because of the rape charge. I dont care personally......if I was rich and famous id cheat on my wife (id never get married) even if she looked like Kobe's wife.

Yeah, on paper CHA looks pretty good: Felton, Jackson, G Wallace, B Diaw, Tyson Chandler. Its just a matter of how Larry Brown makes it all mesh - here I have big doubts. Brining in another "talented" head-case reminds me of Larry Brown in NY. We all know how that worked.
