Yh, it's probably best. One thing he could do is to go back to locals/smaller tournaments to get the feel back, I imagine it's rough doing comeback at the majors while he still might not feel fully good yet

If Armada wins again I wanna give him credit, but I also wanna say that he's avoided Leffen. And I have no idea if he's actually fixed his godslayer matchup. Just some food for thought

its not really that he's avoided leffen just that leffen keeps getting denied entry to the us right?

Summit was decently well-done. Fun event to watch and lots of good matches. Hopefully they don't taint it with such a ridiculous voting system if they do it again.

Tipped Off had some problems with organization because some top players entered many events, and the Melee singles bracket had lots of ridiculous results, often due to "stronger" players hitting bad matchups.

Upsets:

Pools

Envy (Puff) > Ice
JSalt (?) > s0ft

Bracket

WR1:

Xif (Peach) > Wobbles
Drunksloth (ICs) > DruggedFox

WR2:

n0ne > Colbol
Gravy > Nintendude

LR4:

Iori (Peach?) > Nintendude

LR5:

Iori (DK???) > Over

WR3:

n0ne > DJ Nintendo

WR4:

n0ne > Professor Pro: great set.

Also, some notable almost-upsets that I happened to see:

Drephen vs Ice: Drephen took game 1 reasonably convincigly. Ice destroyed him in games 2 and 3.
Kaeon (Fox) vs Fly: Kaeon, who does well vs Dizzkidboogie in NY, gave Fly a real scare. Fly comboed into an actual wobble to win.

Other interesting results:

AKA "results in which I wouldn't have pegged the winner as a clear favorite":

WR2:

The Moon > Javi: The Moon continues to take sets off great spacies.
Wizzrobe > Over: Wizzy makes a case for being the best Falcon vs Sheik (he's probably still a bit behind S2J, but close). Over looked kind of lost.
Prof Pro > Fly: Prof continues to show how good he is vs ICs, while Fly is looking a bit rusty.

WR3:

ESAM > The Moon: The Moon continues to not know anything about mid/low-tier matchups.

LR4 (loser gets 17th):

Ice > Colbol: Colbol looked a little sloppy, but boy was Ice solid (ha, ha). Colbol getting 17th is sort of a big surprise, but his results tend to have quite a bit of variance.

LR5 (loser gets 13th):

Javi > Wobbles: Does Javi even have ICs practice??
DruggedFox > Ice: Ice, who imo is easily top 15 in the world, got 13th. Wow.

LR6 (loser gets 9th):

The Moon > Fly: Despite The Moon sucking vs mid-tiers, he's still somehow good vs ICs. ???

LR7 (loser gets 7th):

DruggedFox 3-1 The Moon: Not an upset, but notable because Moon is good vs Sheik, and DruggedFox doesn't have that many notable Marth wins yet.

LR8:

Javi 3-1 ESAM: Javi beats a Samus, avenging his Apex 2013 loss! (and loses a game as Sheik vs Fox)

Rest of tournament: DruggedFox wrecking fastfallers as usual.

Stock up:

DruggedFox: Scalped 3 Peaches, 3 Foxes, 3 [distinct] Falcons, and a Marth in losers en route to his title.
n0ne: wins over Colbol, DJ Nintendo, and Professor Pro are some of his best wins yet.
Iori: Nintendude and Over are really solid wins.
JSalt: dang dude, where'd you come from?

Stock slightly up:

Javi: beat Drephen, s0ft, Wobbles, JSalt (??), DJ, ESAM, lost to The Moon and DruggedFox. Lots of solid wins, but the only real doubts here were Wobbles and maaaaybe ESAM.
ESAM: Beat The Moon but got outclassed by Wizzy and Javi. Had a high placing with not many impressive wins.
XIF: I thought he retired or something, but then he beat Wobbles. Peach-ICs, but still.
Drunksloth: The Next Big ICs™ is being hyped up by Florida. His bracket record was W DruggedFox L ESAM L Wobbles, so we can't draw too many conclusions there, but DruggedFox is a good big-name win.
Gravy: Beat Nintendude, I guess.
Articanus: Not really a national threat (yet), but decent regionals wins (Flamin Roy, Een, Envy) en route to 17th.

Staying steady:

Wizzrobe: Over was his only really impressive win, and his millionth rematch with DruggedFox looked waaaay worse than usual.
Professor Pro: Good win vs Fly, bad loss vs n0ne, got wrecked by DruggedFox.
DJ Nintendo: meh. Beat .jpg, XIF, and Iori on his way to the least inspiring 7th place ever.
The Moon: good at the matchups he knows, bad at the rest. Apparently beat DruggedFox really bad in the one game he took, but lost 3 pretty close ones.

Stock slightly down:

s0ft: Pools loss was bad. Losing to Javi is ok I guess.
Fly Amanita: He's been taking a break, so he's clearly not at peak form. Professor Pro and The Moon are both good vs ICs, but Fly's definitely not at his 2014 top-15 level, as evidenced by his scare vs Kaeon (NC/NY Fox).

Stock down:
- Ice: Losing in pools to Puff... oof.
- Wobbles: Hopefully he'll start taking the game more seriously again?
- Nintendude: RIP
- Overtriforce: Bopped by Wizzy, then lost to Iori's DK? Oof.
- DruggedFox's ICs matchup: come on Sami you can do this. He even wrote about the ICs matchup and how he's feeling more confident about it lately, thanks to his strong shielddrop game. I didn't see the match, so I'll try not to judge until I can see it, but... a loss is a loss.
- ICs: Fly was the highest placing ICs player at the tournament at 9th. (Wobbles 13th, Nintendude and Drunksloth 17th, Sharkz 33rd). Very interesting that no ICs placed top 8 despite the volume of strong ICs players at the event.
