Preview


World Champions are the top seeds in this group, which some people might not respect enough. They should still top the group but something is telling me this isn't a foregone conclusion. First up for them is a tough game against Mexico who have been improving since giving them a good game 12 months ago in the Confederations Cup. Then you have Sweden, they are always a tough defensive and will give you a game. They have improved even without The King Ibrahimovic, beating Italy in a playoff to advance here. They could squeak through in second if they can take points off Mexico or Germany. Rounding out the group is South Korea who have been a very poor side lately and rely heavily on Son Heung-min their biggest star right now. They will give a good game and account of themselves but i think they are going to finish last here and struggle to score.

Urgh, Hector apparently injured. Might be the position with the least depth in the squad. On the other hand, Lahm has set the bar for fullbacks really high.
edit: Actually, he's not injured, he (hopefully only) caught a cold.
